Disney Site ERROR Message

OH, have you guys started "looking" at what you need to pack??? OR, am I nuts.....????

Oh, you're nuts alright! But then again, you ARE an LSU fan, so we kinda knew that already.

I haven't really thought much about packing just b/c I have NO idea what the weather's going to be like. I bought DD the cutest Mickey outfits for the trip, so she'll be ready to go, but for myself and DH, I think we're going to pack a little of everything. I'd be happy in jeans and t-shirts, and maybe a pullover in the morning and evenings. I am SOOOO over all this heat, so a cool or even cold day would we great!

I know the heat is like summer!!!! I was burning up yesterday!!! We were running around all over BR, DS has an ear infection, so after seeing his DR. we went to the lab, then to the ENT, he has to have surgury -- the first or second week of JANUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure he'll be fine and recovered for the trip, but MAN, that is cutting it close! He has to get tubes, and have his tonsils and adnoids taken out, but running around all day, and the traffic and the heat....... it was a really stressful day yesterday!!! I need a vacation!!!! LOL


As for the "clothing", I'm already buying things for me........ DH just shakes his head, he said, why are you buying stuff now........... you'll just need to buy more stuff just before we go....... but, seriously, we've gone the last 4 years in a row during jan. feb. and usually it's fine with just a sweatshirt, or light jacket, only once we needed heavier coats, and it was only one day, early in the morning. Last year we were even able to swim at night!!! But, yeah, I agree, I'm pretty much nuts!!!! I think all of us LSU fans must be!!!!! LOL

I'm just starting to get so excited.......... I'm just ready to go NOW!!! Only 80 more days!!!!!

Hey Wendy-
Aren't those outfits cute!? I didn't make them...I can barely sew on a button! I ordered both of them online, so some talented people made them, just not me! The jeans are handpainted and they are sooo cute! You can't see in the picture, but there are matching Minnie shoes and hairbow!

By the way, I was looking through an old post with pictures, and I saw your DS with all the characters. He looks like quite the ham! What a cutie! I hope he feels better soon. Sounds like a good idea to get the surgery over with so he'll be feeling better before the trip.

So I take it you guys like it Jan/Feb. How have the crowds been in the past? And has it been cool enough that you can keep a sweatshirt on all day? Do you plan on packing a heavy coat and gloves? I have to admit, I really don't have one, so I guess whatever the weather is like here is probably pretty close to what it will be like there.

Thanks, he's feeling better. I'll just be glad when all the ear infections are DONE!!! and all of this is over with. He is the ham......... the loves to take pictures, and "pose"!!!! He is my social butterfly, he will talk to anyone like he's known them his whole life!! He's really funny!

As for going in Jan. Feb., yeah, that is the time we like best, very low crowds, very comf. temps, ocassionally you need a jacket, but probably the heaviest one you have will do fine. One time I had to buy a lightweight zip hoodie, since I hadn't brought a jacket, so with that and a long sleeve t-shirt I was more than warm enough. Usually during the day you do NOT need long sleeves, much less a jacket. Mornings and at night are cool, but not bad. Sheesh, when it gets to 70 degrees here I'm cold......... LOL Kidding, but you guys will be fine, oh, I've never brought gloves, but you may want to bring them for your little one, at night her hands may get cold!!!! I'd bring her a hat too......... just in case. See, here we are planning what to bring......... I guess my LSU nuttiness is rubbing off on you............ LOL

My internet is sooooooooo being mean, I haven't been able to do anything in two days, don't know how long it'll last this time...

AS far as packing goes, i think about it all the time but like Heather I'm going to wait until I know how the weather is going to be but I am thinking jeans a tshirt and bring some type of pull over. But with how hot it has been I'm thinking that it might be really COLD this weather. It's been so hot! We need a good thunder storm.

I got something in the mail today from DIsney Visa... it looks like some kind of disney mag, oh makes me so excited!

oh Wendy, I'm staying at ASMovies, my husband and I, first trip together, kind of our honey moon even though we are coming on our anniversay. He's never been to Disney so I'm excited to see his reaction. By the way, your name, we met each other working at Wendy's... just though I would share!

OK.... I do plan on going to Downtown Disney, I want to go to DQ since I am for free... I guess we'll be eating Planet Hollywood! I'm going to try to go my first day there since I"m trying to get a flight that leaves early!

Sorry to hijack your thread, Jaime. Back to the original topic, is your reservation coming up OK on the website now? I haven't checked lately.

Now you gave me an idea...maybe I should get matching Mickey jeans! How dorky would that look? I love them though! The girl handpainted Minnie and Mickey, and I don't usually like things like that, but she did such a great job, they look JUST like them. I bought her 2 cute Pooh and Mickey pullovers, too...think I'm going a bit overboard?

Jaime, I've never been to DQ. Wendy, have you guys been? Sounds like something your little guy would like. I hope we can get there early Friday, too, so we can check in and head to DTD. We have ADRs at Chef Mickey at 6. What's the latest on the flights?

As for DQ, No we've never been. We may go over there, I don't know, I really don't know too much about it............ I'll have to look into it. We are planning on going to DTD, to the toy store, DS wants to do that, plus in all the time's we've been to Disney, we've never gone to DTD.

Heather........... OMG, I'd soooooooo wear mickey jeans!!!! They are too cute!!! She is going to have the best time!!! I just love seeing how excited DS gets, his little face......... you guys are going to have a blast watching her, especially when she see's mickey and minnie for the first time!!!! I know you guys are going to Chef Mickey's, you've got to get the pictures!!!!!! We have ours on the fridge........ ( we got a photo frame with a magnate in our package) they are so cute. We are going there on our first night, it's like a tradition now.......... we love it!!! Anyway, as for flights, I haven't looked, but I have seen that Southwest is having a sale......... do you know if they are flying in/out of NO yet?? I haven't check recently. We are still going to drive, I think we are going to leave late friday night or sat. morning.... we are going to stay at my family's house and check in to AKL on Sun. morning........... early!!! Sunday is EMH at MK, so after chef mickey's we'll go back to the park!!!! Yeah!!!

I didn't realize you guys were celebrating your anniversary!!! Congrats!!!! Make sure you let them know at your resort!!! AND at anywhere you guys are going to eat, usually they will do something special.

I'm hoping the clouds hold out, and it stays cool today.......... it's been sooooo HOT!!!! I told DH it's too bad we've already closed the pool.... I'd have been in it the last couple of days!!!!!!!! OH, Heather, checked my resv. online, and it's still coming up ERROR, under tickets, and doesn't show anything about dining, but I did talk to a CM when I called to make changes to our ADR's, and she read my resv. to me, it's all correct.......... I think it's a glitch for those who applied the code. Still, I want my paperwork stating it all............ KWIM!!!!

Have you gotten yours yet?? I still have not gotten mine......... all I've gotten is my confirmation of the refund.

My reservation online is still showing "error" as well...I agree, it's probably due to our applying the code to our packages. I just got our confirmation paperwork (since I applied the discount) & I noticed in addition to the Planet Hollywood voucher, there is one for storytelling...anyone else get that? Does anyone know anything about the storytelling voucher?

Wendypooh-My original confirmation paperwork did not have the storytelling voucher, however, it does have the Planet Hollywood voucher on it. When I received my 2nd confirmation paperwork (after the discount was applied), the storytelling voucher was added. Maybe you'll get it, too! Now I just have to find out what it is, exactly.?

LOL---I noticed there were at least 3 of us from LA talking about Disney in JAN/FEB. We just decided on this trip a few weeks ago---it's so depressing around here since the storms (we didn't have damage personally, but we know people who did & our town, like BR, is bursting at the seams---the NO area is just so devastated). I lived in BR for about 7 years - now I'm in Thibodaux. We're driving to Disney for a 6-night stay at ASMovies Resort - Jan 31-Feb 6. When are the rest of you going?

I know I know you guys don't really care but it's exciting to look at it, isn't it? I didn't get anything about a refund.

I do think on my first day there if we get to our hotel in time, we will ride over to DT and visit there and hang out at DQ... then since we have (dont I get 3 extra "fun" tickets? not sure) we would finish DQ another day because my husband LOVES video games, he's going to go crazy. I just hope he doesn't want to go back there every day.

I would so get those jeans with minnie and mickey Heather if I knew I could pull it off, but I can't. I would be like "is she looking at me funny? oh gosh, stand in front of me sweetie"

no not really, I'm not going to care what anyone thinks, I'm getting my husband a pair of those mickey hats and making him wear it, he said he would, so we'll see.

my connection has been so bad I can't even get the disney site to pull up so i haven't been able to check mine to see if it's working or not.

Wendy - I job with my husband about naming our first child "wendy" and he says NO... he's family actually owns the Wendy's we work at, they're completely crazy but that's another "creatures from another planet" thread to start.

Oh I'm so excited! I WANNA GO NOW! Of course, christmas is coming up, so a lot of fun and merry things to think about... going to try to do all my christmas shopping this weekend! They said that starting this weekend things were going to be flying off the shelves because of the population growth... so ya'll get to shopping!

Anyone has an idea of what to get a father who has everything he wants, he likes hunting and electronics... ?

I live in South Mississippi, about an hour from New Orleans... We are also staying at that All Star Movies.. Jan 28th-Feb 3rd. It's just my husband and I.

I have a question, if I asked when i went to check in for a room "close" to the office without being considered a "preferred" room will the CM at the desk do that? Well, can I do that?

I'm just full of questions and talk tonight guys... well going to go check all my airlines... just to see what's going on.

Thanks for the heads-up on the SW flights! I guess I'm really spoiled now, but since they $30 one way before the hurricane, I'm hoping for something that great. Even $49 each way would be great. I'm not quite ready to commit to airfare yet (DH's work schedule and we still need to add that last night), so I think I'm gonna wait a little longer. I'm even considering Delta one way, and SW coming back b/c of the times...who knows? We'll see...

Jaime, when you check in, you will get credit card looking room keys and your tickets will be on that. You should get 2 - one for DH and one for you, and all your park days are on it, plus its your room key, and you can add charging ability to it, which is really nice.

And that sucks about your connection! I know for the month after Katrina when I didn't have internet I thought I was going to DIE! I went to the library just to get on for a few minutes, and then I finally broke down and got AOL which really sucked. As much as I hate Charter, I love my internet! But I'll let you know if I see any great deals on flights.

Did anyone else notice she did the "4" in bold writting, as if she was rubbing it in!!!! HAHAHA just kidding Heather but let me tell you, I'm completey JEALOUS! FOUR letters!! That isn't fair... I want one.. you should share... four letters... tsk tsk!

And the room key, so that's neat... saves a lot of carrying around.

I'm pretty sure we are going to go all southwest, just going to wait to see if they do have any DINGS or any of those 49 dollar purchases.

Well, going to hit POST before my connection gives up again.

We didn't have internet for a month a half after katrina.. because I didn't even have electricity for three weeks afterwards... I thought i WAS dieing.. it was awful.. I really never thought it could had really been like that, it was like living in a twilight zone.

Anyways, lets get back to disney... HERE WE COME!

Jaime - As for the refund letter, when I applied the code to my package, I got a refund, since the price went down, it has already been put back in my bank account, but I just got a letter reflecting that. As for the tickets, I just went to the southwest site, put in Jan. 27 thru Feb. 4 from NO to Orl. and it came up to like $60 something one way...... like $142 round trip. Not sure why you aren't getting that?? Oh, and about your room, you can request anything, you may not get it, but it never hurts to request it. You can call them and add the request to your reservation. Just tell them you'd like a room close to the lobby, restaurant, bus stop, etc...

2poohbears, actually we've been planning this trip since before Katrina, I guess around June, July we started planning. Originally we were going to stay at the Poly.......... but with Katrina, we had to change that.......... now we are at AKL. Our dates are Jan. 29 - Feb. 3, but with the discount code, we are trying to add another night......... just depends on DH's work schedule, and we are driving, leaving here on the 27th or 28th. I'm in BR too........ and good grief....... there are soooooo many people it's unreal!!! I tried to go to Target on Siegen.......... YIKES!!!! I've got to go over there today to get DS some uniform shirts for school.......... I'm dreading it, at least DH will be with me so he can drive!!!!

Ok delta has come down in their prices for my dates... so you guys check it out... southwest still the same and the rest or just too much. I'm about to hit my 60 day mark around Thanksgiving...(YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYYA) and I'm kind of excited about that... but I'm going to be really checking out the dates.

I ebayed to cell phones to pay for at least one ticket and I should have that money by the end of the week so I'm READY to purchase. I'm still not THAT exicted yet but at least my 60 days mark is coming up (YAYYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYYQYAYAYAYAYAY).

I wish I could get something neato in the mail... we all need to trade snail mail addresses and just send each other post cards with mickey or another character on the cover... that would be sooo exicting I'll be like 'LOOOKK it's MICKEY!"
