I have thought for years, YEARS that Disney should open a Bowling Alley....all themed, the way their Mini Golf's are.

Imagine how cool that would be? An evening rolls around - you dont feel like park'n it, or pool'n it - how FUN would bowling be? And (many) families LOVE bowling... I dunno, I think it would go over SO well.

Anyone got any other idea's (or love mine??? ;) )

Alright... I'm going to go with an ice skating rink at Downtown Disney--- for the holidays. Something they could set up and then take down at the end of the season. I'm picturing Rockefeller Center at Christmas... they could even pipe in some Christmas music to skate by. I'd be there in a flash!

I like that idea, except it's Florida, making it virtually impossible to have an ourdoor skating rink. Heat=melting ice. I would like a themed bowling alley, maybe in downtown disney or on the boardwalk.

I love the skating rink idea, but I think it should be there all year round! Wouldn't that be a great afternoon activity? It would cool everyone off and they could use theming from Mighty Ducks and Ice Princess.
I've always said that Disney should build a Villians Park. Night on Bald Mountain Coaster, and other dark rides based on the villians-not for the little ones, this would be directed at the pre-teen and teen set with scarier rides. Disney has long been concerned about losing the teenagers to Universal-a villians park would end that right away!

I think Disney should have an AIRLINE! :cool1: Just think how much better service would be getting to and from WDW and DL! :goodvibes. Flights would match the Cruise schedules :boat:!

On the other hand, they would have Goofy :goofy: serving drinks :crazy2: ... and Captain Hook pirate: in the cockpit ... maybe not such a good idea.:rotfl:

Disney should have a Margaritaville Restaurant! Also, I love the themed bowling alley and airline ideas. :thumbsup2

They had an ice rink at DD during the holidays one year. I believe it was over near where Once Upon a Toy is now. It was a while ago though. But I know for a fact they have tried this one out!

Yes! An airline would be great! They could have characters to welcome you on the plane and be the flight attendants! How cool!

I like the skating idea, but let's make it roller skating (or in-line skating). Maybe with screens for virtual skating thru WDW ??

Or, in Europe, there are rooftop skating rinks. How about one on the top of the Contemporary so you can watch Wishes while you skate?? Wishful thinking' . . . . .

Disney should have their own "Broadway". They could create a "street" with theatres and show The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Aida, and Tarzan. They could also preview new shows there before moving them to London or New York.

I like the bowling alley idea. It could be used year round without regard to weather (except hurricanes I guess). Maybe when they close down Disney Quest they could use that space for this idea. I haven't ever been there so don't know how big or small the building is but just a thought.

How about go-karts? They could put a whole go-kart area where River Country was...actually they could probably couple it with additional mini-golf (can't ever have enough of those - imagine a "Pirates of the Carribean" mini-golf) and the bowling alley!!!! What would even be better would be to have an indoor mini-golf...a great thing to do for a rainy day and nice air conditioning for when it's too hot!!! :thumbsup2

I second the motion for a Go-Kart track or 3! That would be a blast!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (how much do I love it??!!) the Villian Park idea. How much fun would that be? And it could focus on the older kids/adults without spooking away the little ones altogether!

I also like the skating rink idea...you can always do indoor if heat is really a problem.

Bring on the bowling! That would make for a whole lot of fun!

And selfishly...a boy's make over place like the one they have for girls...instead of tiaras *unless you wanted a kingly crown* you could chose hero hats and get sprinkled with Pixie Dust and get crazy hair color and get Mickey heads colored into your hair (like at the barber shop on Main Street). Knights, kings, pirates, princes, space rangers, the Mouse himself, monsters, SO MANY CHOICES...why oh why oh why doesn't Disney do this??!! I bet they will in the future...but I want it NOW while my little ones could enjoy it! They could even do the photo shot etc. Boys like to use their imagination as much as girls...they just imagine different things. Yea for the boys shop but taking it a step further with the treatments like the girls get but marketing it like a "hero transformation" or something like that instead of giving it the "girly" make over moniker.

I was going to post an airline as well!! Showing Disney movies on the flight down, or playing Disney themed games, etc. Would totally help us all playing the "Waiting for Southwest" game and the airfare pricing dilemmas. Heck, I would even pay extra because I know that as I taxi down the runway I will already be in my "happy place"!

I love this idea! It could be called The DisneyTheater District. I also wish they had a park themed like American Cities. Sort of like the New York New York theme park in Vegas only with more cities. Like San Francisco, New York, New Orleans, Boston, Philadelphia and the list could go on. I would also love to see Beastly Kingdom and Australia sections added to Animal Kingdom.
