I purchased Disney stock through an online broker. Am I entitled to all the benefits, i.e, stock splits (if ever), dividends, shareholder meetings, etc or would I have to close my online account and purchase directly through Disney in order to receive them?

Thanks.

If you are a shareholder (the shares are registered in your name), then you are entitled to all dividends, etc. I purchased my shares through Sharebuilder. I have my dividends reinvested to my account to purchase additional shares. I received copies of Disney's annual report and proxy.

You are enmtitled to the same as people who purchased directly we purchased through our advisor and even paid to get the certificate very cool it is hanging on the wall in the kids bedroom and it has all teh fab 5 on it.

I bought my 1 share through an online site. I think it was oneshare.com. I got it last November just so I could vote against Uncle Mike. I love my certificate. Right now it's packed up in a large plastic storage container with other pictures in case Ivan makes a run close to our house!
