Disney & Seasonal/Holiday (Summer/Fall) Recipe Swap Progress

Aww, I love it! That was really creative, combining both things.. I didn't think of that.. :scratchin

And since I'm in all the Disney Groups, I get one of those! :woohoo:

WooHoo! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
I FINALLY got my picture to upload, so I can share my 1st recipe with y'all!

This is my Flame Tree BBQ Sauce recipe:

While it's not the best picture (colors & contrast don't show very well), I was pretty happy with the turnout. I combined the "summer" theme with the Disney recipe and ... TA-DA! :rotfl: (I bought all the stuff for this today - and I even found the page protectors @ Staples! I tested the recipe "cards" and am happy to report that they fit perfectly! :flower3:)

Please let me know if this okay for the swap! :thumbsup2 I have 2 of these done so far. I can knock out the others pretty quick and then decide on my 2nd one. :cutie:
Okay, I'm sure y'all are tired of seeing posts by me now, so I'll go wait a while :rolleyes1

I think it's cute! I'll be glad to have one :thumbsup2

VickiV

Please place me in group 4 - Disney and group 2 - Summer. Standby for recipie posting. Thanks.

Oo, look, more groups! :lmao:

May I have Group 5, I'll be doing the French Toast Loaf from the Main Street Bake Shop.

And oh, what the heck. Group 6, Marble Cheesecake from the Concourse Grill (the Contemporary).

(If they don't fill, then I'm okay with that too... I think I'll be okay either way. ;) )

Okay, for Summer/Fall, I'm going to do my mom's Strawberry Sparkle Cake for one group and Spicy Pumpkin Pancakes for another.

Getting overwhelmed by the shear number of Disney recipes there are to choose from! I'll get back to you on those!

...oh no.. with all these good-sounding recipes, I'm getting tempted... but I will prevail and not sign up for any more!

(But maybe someone will find it in their heart to PM me the recipe for pumpkin pancakes if she gets a chance......) :flower3:

My recipes are Fresh Cherry and Almond Cake and Tarragon Chicken with Shaken Peas - tow of our favourite summer recipes:goodvibes Can't believe I've not shared them yet :faint:

Is this a sweet or pie cherry cake? What are Shaken Peas? Now it's me that's being impatient :rotfl2:

They both sound interesting.

Its a cake cake - bake it in a cake tin, turn it out and cut into slices when cold:thumbsup2 It freezes well so last time we had a big crop of cherries I made several for the freezer. Since then the pigeons seem to have got every cherry, or knocked them to the ground before they were ripe:headache: So now I buy the cherries:rolleyes1

The peas are ordinary frozen petit pois (or you can use fresh) and they're tossed in the sauce right at the end - hence shaken:rotfl2: The recipe is from BBC Good Food magazine (recipes also available online) if you can't wait;)

ETA - I won't be a spot hog and jump right in on the 3rd non-Disney group  but if you need someone to take another space I can fit it in ;-)

;) Soon as I get it typed up! Whatchu got in return?!

Yay! I'm quite happy that y'all like the way my first recipe "card" turned out! :goodvibes I was going to try to finish that group today, but I need new ink for my printer :headache: so they will have to wait until this weekend.

I plan to visit the craft store @ lunch tomorrow to get inspiration for my 2nd choice .... I'm taking the cookbook with me to see which one of my choices I can find embellishments for. Hopefully I'll be able to give you my decision tomorrow night! :flower3:

Gosh .... ALL the recipes posted sound soooo good & I love to cook, so I can see how you would be tempted to join a bunch of groups to get all the other recipes!!! :teacher: Sooo many groups ..... so little time! :upsidedow

Hi! I'm new at this but would still like to join in if I can. I would like 2 spots for Disney recipes.
I was thinking of doing Scones from the Garden View Lounge, Grand Floridian and either spiced olives from the California Grill or Hoop De Doo Cornbread from Trails End. I will get back to confirm which ones or if possible all 3.

thanks!!! I did send Vicki a PM as I had a few questions on size of the actual layout- so any want to help me I will appreciate it and wanted to sign up before all the spots were taken!
Thanks again! Donna

From post #1
Completed recipes must be 8 ½” x 5 ½”. Staples sells the binders and the plastic sheet protectors for this size. Use cardstock and layer at least once plus two embellishments.
Take a look at the links to see what other recipe swaps have looked liked...:thumbsup2

That's not to me, is it?

No, its not you:rotfl: But I've done quite a few of these and I know some people have to wait to the weekend to post. If there's room in the 3rd non-Disney I'll do blackberry brandy :thumbsup2 unless you'd all prefer apple crumble:)

So I tried out SCAL today (as some of you may have noticed, I was having issues) and made some little Contemporary resorts for my Marble Cheesecake recipe page. I made a few because I knew that I would get glue all over some of them, and I was right. But I think they turned out sort of cute!
