A friend of mine said she got her kids in a disney "school" while on their vacation and got $ off on their admission tickets. I think she said it was a leadership class. I have been to Disneyworld 13 times and have never heard of this. I have heard of the internship program for college students but these are high school/ middle school age kids and they already have 10 MYW tickets so I am wondering if she is "pulling my leg" lol. Anyone heard of this???:confused3

It's called the YES Program. There is a thread probably on this page or the next which explains it.

No, she isn't pulling your leg. We have done it 4 times now. They are called Y.E.S. tickets (Youth Education Services.)

Thanks, I found it. I have a question, how do you do the classes if you are not in a group and you only have 3 kids? And can you get the discount tickets if you do not go to a class? Last, if you already have a package deal with free dining it probably does nothing to get the tickets:confused3, any help wouldbe appreciated!

Here on YES tickets now. There are certain classes open for individual enrollment. You can't use with free dining, but I would price out both ways if it were me.

YES has individual enrollment dates for families who want to register their children in a class. There are some rules regarding how old the children must be to attend a class without a parent or guardian also being there. Check the website for details.

You must sign up and pay for the classes to get tickets. It's possible to "skip" attending the classes but then you risk having your tickets canceled or being blacklisted from ever signing up for future YES classes.

If you have a package, you already have tickets that you purchased through the Walt Disney Travel Company. You can always save those tickets for another visit and buy YES tickets for the trip that includes the package. But that means shelling out even more money at one time.

There is a different page for Individual Enrollment than the one for group enrollment: http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/
