Disney- same deals 2012 as in 2011?

Hi everyone!! I've been pricing up SSR with 42% off and free DDP for 10 days in August 2011. I really want the holiday of a lifetime (Disney 10 nights, Hotel near the malls 5 nights, Universal hotel 3 nights). However, I don't think our savings will allow for us to go in 2011 (saving for a deposit for a house first, then holiday savings) so we want to go August 2012. But will the 42% off and free DDP be the same in 2012 or will they change the dates- or not do these deals at all?

I know I can count on the amazing DIS veterans for an answer even though Im asking you to measure a piece of string.

I think its impossible to say either way, there are too many variables. We don't even know for sure whether the free DDP will be the same in 2011 (whether dessert will be included for example).

You may just have to be patient and keep saving hard!

These have been dates on sale for UK free DDP offer, I think they extended 2009.

2012, no-one knows, if the economy picks up they won't offer it at all but as you can see they have increased the dates each year recently.

I'm hoping that the 42% offer will still be available in 2012 too - that's when we are going. I just hope the price doesn't increase too much as it's stretching the budget a bit.

2009 was the first year that we had the pleasure of the dining plan. We had stayed onsite previously but stays in October and November didn't include the DP. It is something that you do get quite used to.
We are having a break from Disney next year (off to Rhodes) but we have just booked a cruise for August 2012 so I too am hoping that the offers are back on for August 2012 as I need my Disney fix again
We'll see April ish next year what they have to offer for 2012.

Keep in mind as well that additional promotions are offered during the course of the year, after the initial rates and specials are announced. You have to keep checking.

Glad I checked through the boards as I was about to ask more or less the same question!
We will just save as much as we can and hope that the deals come back to allow us to go to a better hotel
i'm having fun learning about all the hotels but it's a bit overwhelming at the moment as I'm starting at the very beginning.
Fingers crossed for those amazing deals. If the free dining doesn't come back i will maybe cry
