Disney Room only - when do you pay?

If you have an AP and book a room only do you pay at the time of booking, 8 weeks before you go or on arrival at your hotel? Its just a question that pooped up tonight whilst my mate and I were planning our next visit, haven't even been on our first visit and we are planning the next, hoping to book that one in the next few days!!

We paid a 10% deposit and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before we arrive
