Disney Room Decorations

Hi,
Has anyone ordered the Disney Room Decorations before? Was it worth the money? I know you for the birthday one you get a cake and stuff.

I have not order one before but plan on doing so on our next cruise. I have read a few trip reports, okay, more than a few and when people have mentioned having these it was really special.

Ok, cool. I guess I will do it then. I did it previously on a Royal Caribbean cruise and it wasn't anything fantastic for the cost. I figured Disney would do it up right, just wanted to get some feedback before handing over my credit card, lol

Depending on the age of the person who has the birthday and just how "magical" you want to make it ...

My daughter turned 9 the first day of our cruise. I went to the Guest Services counter and told them. They sent her a special birthday card that was slipped under our door ... she got a pin to wear that said that it was her birthday and everyone else got to wear a pin that said we were celebrating. It was so nice to have CMs say Happy Birthday to her just because she was wearing the pin. They also asked what night we wanted to celebrate and she did get the cake and singing routine at the restaurant.

We celebrated both of our children's bdays on our Nov. 2006 cruise since my DS's was the week before we went and my DD's was the week after and did the Birthday Celebration! It was very cool and they loved it. We took home all of the decorations and still use them in the house for their bdays! It was worth it for us. Here are a couple of photos of the magnet and the room decos. There was also a Happy Birthday Character banner. The cake was great and the perfect size.

My sister ordered the birthday package for her DH on our last cruise, and I'd say it was worth the money. Their kids loved having the room decorated, and having our serving team sing happy birthday to him. I plan on ordering the Bon Voyage package when we sail next, just something fun for the room.

My DD and DSs ordered that as a surprise for DH and I when we sailed in September - loved it...

I'm thinking of ordering two Birthday packages for our NYE cruise as both DD and DS's GF have birthdays just before the cruise...

We took them home and have used them twice for birthday parties, sure we will get a few more uses out of them. Great photos of them

OK I was talking nonsense! Apparently my DD didn't order this at all - she and her brothers surprised us with the Tropical Bouquet and the Happy Anniversary/Wedding Memory Box... The 'Bon Voyage' banner across the verandah doors must've been courtesy of DCL/Fairytale Weddings...
