Disney Rewards Visa?

The only place we tried to use it & couldn't was the funnel cake vendor right outside of the American Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase.

The rewards are great!! So far I have purchased 4 adult 10 day park hopper passes and 2 child 10 day adult hopper passes! I too wish I could find a way to pay our mortgage and car payments with it!!!! The only extra discount you get is in Downtown Disney and World of Disney.....at least that i know of.

Does anyone know if they still have the referal bonus?

I'm new to the card and am just happy that the card gives you free stroller rental in Disneyland. I am just planning on using it to charge things in the parks and that's it. My other cards give me better rewards.

We use the card for most of our purchases. We do make sure that we pay the balance off each month. Used it to remodel the house, made sure the money was in the bank before we used the card, so that no balance would be carried. With over $50,000.00 in purchased, the next Disney trip was really exciting.:cool1:

I wanted to use ours to pay for our new a/c and furnace but they didn't take charge cards. Wish I could have used it for that and for our new roof. That would have given us some good rewards!

We don't freak out as much now a days if something on the car or house needs to be fixed since if we pay with our Visa...it's also paying for our next Disney trip! :thumbsup2

And actually....the roof is our next big project!

Can you purchase Visa or AmEx gift cards (like the ones you see in the Walmart or grocery store check-out line) w/ the Cahse Visa? If so, do you earn reward oints on that purchase?

Yes, but those cards have activation fees that would more than cancel out the amount that you would get back in rewards.

I have one but I use it selectively since the rewards are generally not great. I have a Chase Cash Back card that gives me 5% at grocery stores, gas, and drug stores up to $300 so I use that first until I get to the $ 300. The $ 300 goes into our Disney fund. After that, I use my AMEX for those same categories since it gives 6% back (in hotel points). Then I will use the Disney VISA at places that don't take AMEX. The exception to the above is when the Disney VISA has a special promotion going for the 5% during which I may use it for a month or two on items in the categories. I did this in April but it does depend on the minimum they give you - sometimes it is good (like $ 250) and sometimes it is higher and it may not be worth it. I recently got a Discover card and will take advantage of when they have 5% categories as well. To me it is all a big game to see how much I can get back (which drives my husband crazy!) All of the above is used to fund a good chunk of our yearly Disney trip. Of course, this only works if you pay off your bill each month so you are not racking up fees and don't have annual fees (none of my cards do.)
