Disney Rewards Visa card?

I have the Disney Visa and the Rewards Dollars really helped pay for food during the trip. You can also use your rewards online for shopping at Disney.com. I don't carry balances, so the APR doesn't bother me. I've had it for at least five years now and since we're not going back until 2012 (sob!), I'm switching to mileage accumulation cc.

Although I recognize that other cars have better rewards, I do like and use my Disney Visa for almost everything. In good times, I'll amass $300 in rewards every 2 years that I can then bring to WDW trips to use as fun money.

We have it and like it enough. The rewards aren't that great, 1% of your purchases in Disney Points. I've seen people write they get times during the year when Chase gives them 5X the rewards points. I've been a member for 5 months and haven't received such an offer. But, I pay my card off 2x/month so I think that may have something to do with it, plus, I really rack up the charges.

The 5x rewards are kind of squirrelly. It only applies to certain purchase categories and you have to spend OVER a certain amount first before the extra kicks in. For example, 5x rewards on gas, groceries, and travel. But you have to spend $1000 first. And THEY choose how to categorize your purchases. If you look at your statement you will see the categories to the side of each purchase. They are fond of a category called "Other". They never offer extra rewards for "Other". We buy all of our groceries at Super Target ($150 - $200 a week) and it gets categorized as "Other".

We have had ours since day 1. Our card used to say card member since day 1. I got a new design and it doesn't say that anymore - it does state DVC Member though. We use it quite often - though I almost closede it earlier this year - I called and they raised the limit and lowered our rate!

Now we use it to pay as many monthly bills as possible - I pay my insurance and cable bill with it. Chris pays a couple too. We should have more than enough points to pay for our passes next year and then some. It's not the best card to have if you keep a balance.

I also use it for business travel between my full time job and my travel business - I try and only use this card. At least the points will not go to waist.

I like it, it comes in handy for the interest free vacation package purchase
