Disney Rewards Redemption Card

Hoping someone can help me. I have a little over $400 in points that have been transfered to my rewards redemption card (checked the visa site and they are truely transfered). I went to the disney site to by gift cards and I enter in my card number and it then asks for me to pay with another form.

Any idea what I am doing wrong? The card is new (my old one expired). I have taken it off the paper it came with, was I suppose to call it in?

Any ideas? I could keep the money on it and use the card but I would prefer the guaranteed gift cards.

If the card was mailed to you, yes, I do believe that you must call to activate it. I remember having to do that with one of mine. The one I got while in Disney (downtown), I did not have to activate, they did it there for me.

Thanks. I am assuming the 800# on the back will do? I don't have the sheet it came with.

Yes! That is the number you call. There will be prompts on what to do.. .

Actually, didn't you have a sticker on it stating it must be activated first, just like a credit card has.. I do think the phone number is the same though...

If its the rewards card from Disney Visa, you can use it just like Disney gift cards. No need to buy gift cards with it unless you want it split up into smaller amounts!

Thanks everyone, I have had the card for a month or so and cannot remember if it had a sticker. I am assuming if it did, I would have called and pulled it off. Then again, sometimes if my head was not attached....

I was hoping to get the kids small denomination cards for their spending money. The rest will be used for everything else.
