disney rewards in parks?

First post... so forgive me if this is in the wrong place.
Planning May 2011 trip w DH, DS (turning 6 while there)
we'll be staying at the dolphin
haven't decided on whether to do dining plan yet.
will likely do mostly counter service, one character meal, and eat one adult meal at the hotel
we just got an offer for a chase disney credit card. we get $150 gift card initially, and then can build up more w/ purchases. it states these can be used in "select areas" at the parks.
anyone know if most of the food service places accept these?

Enough places take it to make the card worthwhile... if you need another credit card.

Even if you don't need another credit card it's worth it. I guess that is as long as you can control your spending with it. My nieghbor got one because he was offered 200 after first charge. He took advantage of it and we all leave tomorrow for a weeks visit.

Yup, that's me, too.
I took them up on the $200 offer. Will use it in December.

I'm quite sure that the DDP is NOT an option if you stay at the Dolphin.

The rewards cards are accepted at most places in the Disney parks and resorts, from snack carts to signature restaurants. I do not know if you can use them at the Dolphin but it would pay for a few meals elsewhere.

As others have said, yes, those rewards cards are valid all over the Disney parks and resorts.

They are not valid at the Swan or Dolphin, or at some shops in the World Showcase at Epcot or in Downtown Disney (there are shops in those places which are not Disney-owned/operated). They are also not valid at most of the TS restaurants in Downtown Disney (again, because they are not Disney owned/operated).

Inside the parks, you are fine with the rewards cards so long as you choose locations which can take credit/gift cards - there are a few kiosks and carts which cannot take cards of any type and accept cash only.
