Disney rewards dollars - how to spend them

Tell me how this works, please

The flexibility to redeem reward dollars toward full or partial costs of a wide variety of merchandise, tickets, hotel rooms and vacation packages at Disney

You call or go online and order the Rewards Giftcard. It looks just like any giftcard w/the magnetized strip on the back. You then transfer your reward dollars to the giftcard. I think the first transfer is a minimum of $20 or $25. You then take the card with you to any Disney Theme Park, Disney Store, etc. and use it when making purchases. If you use it to book a vacation package over the phone, I think you just give them the giftcard # and they deduct the amount you are using from the card. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

PS I have a Schnauzer too! This is my 3rd one. My first was salt and pepper, and the other two have been black. They all had ears that were not cropped.

Thanks Purrrrfecta! This is the first Schnauzer we have ever owned and just love her to pieces. However, we love her so much we hate taking her to the groomer because she shivers and shakes (and makes us feel very guilty!) so she always looks like she's having a bad hair day!!!

Can I ask another question about Reward dollars on your thread, Purrrrfecta? I had hoped that Disney would allow me to use part of my Disney reward dollars to get two gift card for my two DS as their souvenir $$ for our upcoming trip in October. Then, I was going to put the rest on a card that my DH and I could spend

Will they let me do that I sure hope so

Yes, you could definitely do that. Just buy the giftcards at the Disney Store or online.

Hi Calypso*a*go-go! You do mean buy them with my Disney reward dollars I've earned from using Disney Visa right? Sorry to be so dense on a Monday, but it sounded like you answered to purchase regular gift cards rather than Visa reward dollar gift cards! I didn't know you could do this at the Disney store; I thought it had to be done over the phone

You can get the reward card once your rewards have accumulated and go to the Disney store to get the gift cards. Then you will have any remaining balance on your visa gift card to use as you would like.

I used my reward card as well as DH's to purchase DD's PHP. I have 50 cents left over which I guess I will use toward my next purchase at the Disney store so I don't just lose it!

It seems you can use your Disney Visa reward dollars at just about any place Disney owns. Personally, my goal is to acquire as many as I can to apply to my DVC maintenance fees each year. I doubt that I will charge enough to pay it off entirely, but every little bit helps!

Whatever your Rewards don't cover, you can charge to your Disney Visa and earn more reward dollars on the charge

My Schnauzer cries at the groomer as well. As a matter of fact the groomer said he yelps like someone is killing him if you put the shaver near his legs! I try to do him myself as much as possible, but sometimes he gets yucky looking
