Disney Rewards Card / Magic Band Purchase

I have a Disney Rewards card from Chase for the "rewards" I've earned using the Disney Visa card. Does anyone know if I can use it to purchase Magic Bands at Downtown Disney when we arrive? Is the card accepted where magic bands are sold? Thanks!

I don't see why not. The bands are sold either in stores or at kiosks that sell pins and other little trinkets.

To use your "rewards" you need to call the card ahead of time and redeem them. They will send you a gift card to use for those. Some stores do offer a discount for using the Chase - but I haven't found many.

The discount is 10% on purchases of $50 or more at most Disney Owned & Operated locations.

The rewards redemption card can be used anywhere credit cards and gift cards can be used.

As for the 10% discount, that is only applicable to qualifying purchases made using the DV itself, not a redemption card or charging to your magic band. The fine print says a redemption card can be used, but we have never been allowed despite trying multiple times. I would take a copy of the above with you just in case you need it.
