I have been searching through old posts and haven't come across an answer to my question, so here it goes.

We have a friend who got the Disney Visa to take a one time trip to DW. She has 200 points left, and has offered them to us if we can figure out how to do it.

If she has them put onto a redemption card, can we then take the card and use it like a normal gift card at DW? I have read that you can't use the redemption card to purchase gift cards on the online store, and we do not have a Disney Store close to us, so that isn't an option. Do you need to show ID or your Visa to use the redemption card?

Thanks for any and all help! :goodvibes

You do not need an ID to use them, so yes, you could take her card and use it just like a gift card. I have done it, with a card that someone didn't need, and gave to me. No questions asked. I am not even sure they have a name on them, I don't have mine with me at the moment to look.

Thank you! My daughter is going to get a magical Disney treat with the rewards!

They can load the $200 on a gift card, but for some reason you have to tell them that it is a chase rewards card so they can run it through a different way. I charged all our tips and souvenirs to our room on our trip last year and used our $200 gift card to pay off those charges before we checked out.

I'm looking at the rewards card I requested from the credit card a few weeks ago. There is no name on it.

Just have your friend request the card and use it like a gift card. Enjoy

I called and asked for the redemption card back in October and after a month of waiting, I called and asked again. It had never gone through. I am still waiting for my card to arrive and got my credit statement today that shows that it has been deducted from account this time.

Did it come in a plain envelope or did it have Disney on it? I am afraid I am going to have to call again about it.

You should be able to look on the credit card website and see the last numbers of any rewards card you have and the value.

I think it took about a week to arrive. It came in a white envelope.
