Disney Reward Dollars

Not sure what board to post this on - sorry if this is the wrong one.

I just recently redeemed my Disney Visa reward dollars and will be heading to WDW in 2 weeks. Has anyone successfully used these down there yet? I'm wondering if there's exceptions and other things I need to know beforehand. I did specify the "Disneyworld" dollars. I'm assuming they can be used anywhere on property including resorts, parks, and downtown disney shops & restaurants. Am I correct? I'd like to use my dollars for our meals in the parks & resorts, and maybe also for shopping/eating at DTD. I just need to know if there's anyplace I CAN'T use them. Also, if anyone's had any kind of problem with cast members accepting them.

You may use the rewards at all Disney resorts and dining. Don't think DTD dining as they are owned by others. Remember also that they do not give you change back so make sure your purchase is for more than the certificate.

If I were you, I would plan on using them in the resorts and/or theme parks restaurants. You are guaranteed to spend more than the certs and will probably use them up maybe in 1 or 2 sittings.

3boysmom - thanks for asking the question I've had also. No one replies that they haven't been able to use them anywhere. I've been anxious about getting to the check out someplace & they refuse to take them. I plan to use them in the resorts and parks for food and maybe goodies.

Does anyone have any more info on where they are not accepted?

As the other poster said , they do not give you change. I found it easier to turn them in a the resoert front desk, and they credited the charges I placed on my room. Then I didn't have to woory about carrying them around and/or combining them with cash so I used the whole amount up. Of course that only works if you stay on-site. Each certificate has to be signed when you use it also. Have fun

I ordered $50 worth last Sunday and they came in the mail on Thursday! I'm going to use them towards our MNSSHP tickets when we checkin on 10/1 at CBR.

If you cash in the rewards dollars onto your room, if say you don't use them all up on your room charges, do you get the credit back or is it the same like no change back , just curious ?
