Disney Resort Upgrade?

Hi, I am going to Disney with my family on December 24th, and returning on January 3rd. I got an email from vacation (at) registration .disneyworld .com saying I got a free resort upgrade. I'm always skeptical about things like this. I know the email is from disney, but the number they're having me call isn't found on Disney's website. 407-939-7872
Also, the email includes pictures of the resorts i can upgrade to, I have art of animation little mermaid booked right now, and they're letting me upgrade to key west, saratoga, caribbean beach, or the family suites at art of animation. But if I click the pictures, it goes to a website called DisneyResortMagic and its just a slideshow of 3 or 4 pictures.
Anyways, has anyone received an email like this in the past? Should I just ignore it? I tried to call Disney customer service, but they're closed, so I would have to wait.

Oh and the email contains a PIN Code.. I know those are important.. =/

Definitely call 407-W-DISNEY and find out what this is. Normally when they offer an upgrade it's because they over-sold your room category and need to move some people around. But I'm not sure about that message you got, it sounds odd. Definitely call the main # first and make sure this is legit.

I agree, call Disney. The email you received sounds a little sketchy

People have been posting about upgrades, so maybe it will be a legitimate offer. Good luck.

So I called the normal Disney hotline, they said it was real, went to get the upgrade, and they didn't have any rooms available at art of animation. Bummer
Maybe I'll be lucky and they over booked, so when I check in I'll get it. They did have standard rooms at Caribbean, but I'm not interested in that.
Oh well.

Yeah, I agree with you, I wouldn't give up Little Mermaid for CBR. A suite upgrade would have been awesome!

I received the same email!...Im at Art of animation Little Mermaid section. The upgrade is for a family suite at AoA or Caribbean beach, Coronado springs or Old key West. My problem is its a one night res, since Im moving to Pop when my free dining starts the next day. I called and tried to get a family suite but there is no availability, but I was given the choice of coronado springs or old key west. As nice as OKW sounds, I want to try out AoA. Plus moving from okw to pop after a one night stay would kinda be trouble. He even tried to upgrade my free dining res to okw but wasnt able to do it.
