Disney resort transportation ??

OK, don't throw rotten tomatoes at me , but can I use Disney trans going from parks to resort for dinner or spa services even though I'm not staying at a resort? Or is it only for people staying in the resorts?

Disney transportation is open to all visitors - not just those staying in the resorts.

Technically DW states that transportation between parks and to from TTC and parks is there for all guests with valid admission.

Technically, they say the rest of DW transportation- to/from resorts - is for resort guests.

In actuality, no one checks - they used to but now don't bother - so yes, you can.

The disney website may say it's for resort guests - but as has been stated, they never check. In 8 years of traveling to WDW regularly I have never been asked to prove that I am staying at a resort when I board resort transportation.

Disney wants everyone eating at their resorts who wants to - not just the onsite guests.

Fact is, they advertise it as a benefit for staying onsite and use it as a perk. But, they probably stopped checking when they realized its best to have people going to their resorts even if they are offsite for various reasons.

Quite a few years ago you had to show your room key to use the buses at the resorts. It was never consistent, and we would only be asked once in a while (again this was many years ago), but 'officially' the bus transportation between the resorts and parks are for resort guests only. The bus transportation between the parks and TTC are for all WDW guests.
