Exactly. It is cute, but a complete waste of energy and it does reflect in the cost of everyone's room. It does not matter if it is DVC or a paying guest.
We all pay in the long run. IMO every American needs to be more energy
conscious. Would you do that at your house ?

Yes, actually. I leave lights on and the TV on when I'm not home. I don't like coming home to a dark house, and it might possibly make a robber think someones home.

me too....and I'm sorry if it upsets dvc at last but I always leave a light on and the tv on when I leave a hotel room, same reason

The BW is directly across the small lake from the YC/BC. It's a nice, easy walk. Here's a picture from our BC balcony looking across the lake at the BW:

Thank you for brightning my day on this cold rainy morning. Just looking at the pictures make me feel like being at home.

We stayed in that room, it was great!

It's the little details that Disney does that gives it that little bit of extra Magic...

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy it...

I agree!!
Additionally, I don't believe this is something that is done in massive qualities.

Shush.....dont take away a small's child's wonder and excitement over a few pennies that Disney will find a way to get from you anyway.

I thought it was so funny how the room numbers went in order, not odd/even like newer hotels.

I'm way behind in posting resort pictures, so here's a start.

These are from concierge room 4213 at the BoardWalk Inn.

You can see our room in this picture. It's the top floor room with the little roof on it on the very end, right next to ESPN Club. It was right next to the Vice Presidential Suite. The negative was that it was very loud at night when they show football games on TVs outside the ESPN Club.

There was also a chair w/ottoman on the other side of the bed, but I can't seem to find a picture of it now. DH took all the photos.













We had a great view of the lake (and Illuminations!)...this was taken from our balcony with a zoom lens.
