Does anyone have a picture of a GF "dormer room" ?

We didn't have much choice when we booked & another website said these rooms are smaller?

I tried searching this thread but the search function wouldn't work.

I've stayed in the dormer rooms pre renovations... I liked them, but it was only me and my mom. They may be a little smaller, but with the high ceiling it doesn't feel it. They didn't have the daybed in it like the regular rooms so if you are trying to sleep 5, you will have a problem. I'll post some pics and then get you the GF thread so you can see it all there...

We stayed in a renovated dormer room July '07 in Conch Key. They do now have the daybeds in the room. Great for our family. We just loved the dormer room, the vaulted ceiling made the room feel larger. Here are a couple of pics.

Was the daybed comfortable? We will be staying at the YC in March, and I'm considering bringing an air mattress for my son (just in case the daybed is too small or uncomfortable for him to sleep on).

My DS now 12 has been sleeping on the Daybeds at YC / BC since he was 5 years old. He loves having his "own bed". He is now 5' 5" tall and slept fine on the YC daybed last July. I have heard people as tall as 5' 9" sleeping on the Y/BC daybeds just fine. Here is a link to a pic from Allearsnet. The back cushions come off the bed, DS says it is very comfortable!

The new type daybeds found at GF, Poly and CR at more of a twin bed size and really comfortable (we have stayed at GF and Poly; DS12 highly recommends these daybeds ) Here is a pic of the GF daybed unfolded and unmade after a night of sleep:

Thanks HockeyMomR-this was just the information I was looking for! My 15 year old ds is 6'3" (dds are 5'6'' and 5'), so it looks like the air mattress might be a neccessity after all!

I just have to call tomorrow & confirm that our room at the GF has a daybed b/c we will definitely have 5 now. At the time of the ressie, I told them 4 for sure w/ room for 5 b/c DH was still working on being able to join us.

I'm getting organized. I've never planned a trip w/ so little time. But it will feel good to get away from all this nasty cold weather in IL.

Again have a great trip. I think with a party of 5 you should be pretty assurred of getting a daybed.
