I didnt know you could see the world showcase from any of the resorts.....what hotel is that in the background?

Yea some upper level BCV has a good view of WS. I think that is some off site building on the left.

Big TV/DVD

The rooms at SSR remind me a lot of the Ritz Carlton. They are just so beautiful and detailed.

This interests me - the new studios over in the Grandstand have DVD players? The ones I've stayed in Congress Park didn't, and just wondering if this was a new perk of the latest construction. I did notice that the TV was a newer, "flatter screen" model than the ones we've had before.

Yes, Grandstand has DVD players in the studios and a cooler model of TV. We were in Congress Park last year and there was no DVD player.

Hmm, that is good to know. I love the CP area for the views and walking access to DTD, but this has me thinking.

Sorry to be OT, but having stayed in both, how did you like the Grandstand? Did you find it further removed?

Grandstand is now my favorite section, it's actually really close to the main buildings and is the first bus stop - but it is much less convenient to DTD.

WOW, I sure am glad that I ran across this thread...talk about making future resort decisions harder to make. We werent sure which resort to stay in next June for our sons graduation, now we are really not sure. We have stayed at POR 5 times, and CBR for one night before boarding the Wonder. We will be going next June for 2 weeks to celebrate his graduation, one week split between BC and AKL and one week on Magic. Now to figure out which suites or rooms. What is concierge like, or which does anyone prefer?

I really liked staying concierge. The staff was wonderful and did a great job scheduling all of our ADRs, tours, massages, and even my last minute pedicure. We had breakfast every morning in the concierge lounge and it was always great to nip up for a snack during the day, cocktail and quick appetizer in the evening and/or dessert before bed.

I actually needed a foot stool to get into the bed in our BWI Garden Suite and the concierge staff found me one. They were so fabulous! I felt completely relaxed from the minute they came down to greet us in the main lobby and took us upstairs to get all of our paperwork.

Yes, it cost a little more to stay concierge but the service was TOTALLY worth it!
