Disney Resort ROOM Picture Thread *Index page 93*

I didn't realize that I had never posted my pics from the Cabins in September. We really liked staying there. It worked great for a family with small children. The boys loved the bunk beds! And parking right outside our cabin was great. I didn't like the internal bus transportation within the resort, and I didn't like the pools. Very blah and crowded. But overall, it was great. One night we used the grill outside on the deck and made steaks for dinner. It was nice to have a quiet dinner, especially with the boys all wound up. Also cheaper!

tinasquirrel, thanks for sharing your pictures! You don't get to see pictures of the Ft. Wilderness cabins very often, so those were great to see. I'm looking forward to your SSR pictures--have fun on your trip!

We were at SSR last week, Sunday-Wednesday, just me and my two boys, ages 2.5 and 4.5yo. We loved it! That was our first time at SSR and I was pleasantly surprised. It was very nice and peaceful, which was nice after a tiring day at the parks with two little ones! When we checked in, we had a little surprise. We were selected as the SSR "Family of the Day"! They brought us balloons, took our picture, gave us little buttons. It was cute.

We had a balcony overlooking a pond and fountain which was nice. We couldn't see any fireworks or anything, but not a big deal. We were in 4747 Paddock in a studio, which was about a 7 minute walk to the restaurant and main pool, and a 4 minute walk to the quiet pool and playground. We parked right outside our room practically, just had to go up two flights of stairs (which were closer than the elevator). We drove everywhere, so didn't use the bus transportation nor the boat to DD. It was easy enough to walk to the restaurant/pools without using my stroller. The boys LOVED the interactive play area with the sprinklers. The Artists Palette was fine (quick serve food, groceries, store). The food wasn't amazing, but convenient and okay. I really liked how they had little double-sided easels on the tables for the kids to color while we waited for our food. It wasn't crowded at all.

Our room is the top balcony (3rd floor) on the end.

We had a great time. I'd definitely stay there again. Although, next time in a one bedroom just to make things easier for me after they go to bed so I can stay up without bothering them! And the one bedrooms have laundry too which is convenient. I knew these things but was using my in-laws DVC points and didn't want to waste them on a one-bedroom when it was just going to be me and the boys without my husband or them.

Thanks for the pics of SSR! I am headed there in the morning!:woohoo:

....I can't wait for more SSR pix, too...my DS, his DGF, and her dad are going there this May - they have never stayed there, either, so I can't wait to show them the pix....

Thanks for the SSR pics! I didn't realize how pretty that resort is!

We were only there one night, so my opinion isn't the best. For example, we didn't even look at the pool. BWV doesn't have a restaurant since it's on the Boardwalk. Their "table service" restaurant is Spoodles. We ate breakfast there and the egg dishes are awesome.

It seemed a bit shabbier to me than the other Villas I've stayed in (SSR and BC). The hallways are immensely long. I didn't really care for that for some reason. I also didn't find it a very relaxing atmosphere. Of course, that is really to be expected considering its location. For the location, I'd prefer Beach Club Villas. You can still walk to Epcot, take the boat to MGM, and take advantage of the Boardwalk, but it's a little bit more removed. And of course, BCV has an awesome pool.

Our room overlooked the front driveway and we were able to see the fireworks from our balcony which was nice with two little ones who didn't want to stay in the parks that late.

I didn't think the theming was that spectacular either.
