Just so you all know,

The Special Edition release of the Nightmare Before Christmas DVD (I have it on Blue Ray and ASSUME, its on the standard one) has as a special bonus a FULL ride/walk through of the attraction, AND, a behind the scenes of building the attraction to get it ready for the Holiday Version along with interviews from the imagineers who put it on.

Just FYI.

I bought this for DH for Christmas but we're going on our trip the first week of dec and i'm DYING to just give it to him. Maybe I will

I will admit that the bonus feature of the HMH ride is worth the price of the DVD alone.

I got it in blue-ray and it does a FULL ride/walk through of the HMH attraction (after closing, so there's not a bunch of people in it) and it's shot in HD.

It's a GREAT GREAT feature and is like riding the attraction all year long.

Don't tell me this!!!!!!! :guilty:

I have this movie on VHS, 1st Edition DVD (I gave that away though to my niece), and Special Edition DVD with Vincent and Frankenweenie. So here I thought I don't need ANOTHER version and you are all trying to talk me into get it ekkkkk :scared1: DH is going to kill me :rotfl:

HA HA! Better yet! It's in HIGH DEFINITION!!! :yay: :dance3:

I am trying to save money and now they are forcing me to buy something I really don't need but really want!!!!!

How much is it? Who has found the cheapest price and where?

I spent 29 at Hot Topic

but that's cuz I was already buying something and it was RIGHT THERE.

I know it was probably too much. DON'T RUB IT IN lol

Was Brian Sandahl one of the Imagineers interviewed? He is a good friend of my Stepdad's children, and I know he had quite a bit to do with it. If he is on there, that would be cool. :cool1:

This was our first movie on blu ray. It is amazing to see all the detail and textures. We've watched it over and over. Also love the HM tour. There are two versions- one with breaks in it where they discuss the ride and another that is the ride straight through with pop up info on the screen.

To anyone on the fence, be aware that if Disney chooses to put this in the vault after a few months, it could be very tough to find for a reasonable price even a year from now. The vault is usually closed from 5-10 years depending on Disney's mood and/or special anniversaries associated with the film(see Sleeping Beauty being released on a 2 disc set 5 years after the first 2 disc set although this one is "platinum" and the first one wasn't and 2009 is the 50th anniversary of the film).
