Disney Rapid Fill Mug Question

How often do they change the design of the Rapid Fill Mugs? My sister was there for her honeymoon around Memorial Day 2014 and we're wondering if we'll get a different design when we're there next week?

I was there in November 14, February 15 and last week and the design is still the same.

They don't have an announced length of time on each mug design, but they often don't change for several years.

Darn! I wasn't really a fan of the design on hers so I was hoping for something different. At least it's different from the ones we got 5 years ago

I miss the old resort specific mugs! I was thinking of getting a mug my next trip, but am not really a fan of the current design either. I have the generic one from 2009, and will probably get a new one to add to my collection.

In 2010 they were pretty basic and there were 3 of us so we all got different lid colors to keep them straight. Probably were the same as your 2009 ones.

We get them with our resort package otherwise I probably wouldn't get them.

My brother and sister-in-law went on their honeymoon in 2001 when they must have had resort specific ones. They didn't pick there's up until they were at Typhoon Lagoon so that's what their mug has on it. They've always wished they'd gotten it at Port Orleans instead.

i think the design has been the same at least since they put RFID chips in.
i was there in april and the mugs were the same was they were in july 2014 when i went and december 2013 when i went.

The current mugs were introduced in February 2014, according to the DIS:
