Ok,I have a few questions that maybe some of you can help me with.
My first ever trip to WDW is set for this April.Several questions, if
some ppl can just elaborate on a few.

-Are fireworks done at every park? What about every night? Where
is the best places to view these?

-Is Magic Kingdom the only park that does the Parade? What time can
I expect that? Wheres the best place to enjoy it? How long does it last?

-Rides/which ones usually have the longest lines/we're going to all 4 major
parks and the water parks.

thanks :thumbsup2

Fireworks - Magic Kingdom has Wishes every night (about 15 min long) can be viewed in many areas of the park but if you want to see Tinkerbell fly to the castle you need to be around the front of the castle on main street.
Epcot has Illuminations every night that can be seen by standing around the lake in the middle of Epcot (get close to fence if you also want to see the "earth" show which happens close to the waterline in the middle of the lake. There are no fireworks in Animal Kingdom as it would scare the animals. Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic Firework show on certain nights - you have to enter the Fantasmic Theatre to see this.

Parades - MK, AK, & HS have parades at certain times (usually around 3 in the afternoon), as well MK has a night parade before Wishes and a Water parade that can been in the lagoon between MK and Poly/GF

Longest lines are the main rides in each park: MK - the mountains & Dumbo; AK - safari, Rapids, Everest; Epcot - test track, soaring; HS - Toy story Mania, rock n rollercoaster and Tower of Terror
To avoid lines go early and use fastpass!

Hope this helps!:thumbsup2

Ok, for MK's night parade, it isn't every night. You can look at the park hours section on this board to find out what night during your stay it will show.

For the popular rides, a good indication of what attracts the most people...look to see if it has a fast pass feature. If it does, it is a hot ride and you will most likely need it.

MK - as said, the mountain rides, Peter Pan, Pooh. Peter Pan and Pooh are very popular and can easily have passes gone by mid day, depending on if you go during a busy time of year.

AK - The Safari ride, Expediton Everst, Dinosaur are the major rides that you may need a FP for.

Epcot - Test Track, Soarin' and Mission Space are all very popular rides.

DHS - Rockin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and the hottest ride at WDW Toy Story Mania. TSM's fast passes are usually gone by noon, people really really like this ride. (fyi, we got our FP at 10am and had to wait until after 3pm to ride it)

Good luck, do plenty of research for your vacation...you will really appreciate it once you are there.

Hi! Welcome to the DIS! My best advice for anyone going on their first WDW trip is to get a good guidebook. They have tons and tons of information that will answer most of your questions. You can bring it with you on your trip, too! My favorite book (by far!) is the Unofficial Guide to WDW.

Also, you might check your local library. Mine has several different guidebooks, and you can check them out and get lots of different perspectives on WDW.

Ditto the suggestion to get The Unofficial Guide. It is fantastic!

Just wanted to add that Fantasmic at DHS is a whole show- really impressive and worth it, but you need to get to the theater early to get a seat (or if you're there during peak time they often run a late show that isn't as crowded).

Our favorite parade is the one at Animal Kingdom. The others are good, too.

In terms of rides, as others said, the ones that have FP are usually the ones with the longest waits. What we always do is get there at rope drop, get a FP right away for a ride, ride it right then, and then use the FP later in the day (you can use it any time after your return time, all the way up to park closing). We collect FP for as many of the popular rides as we can so we can often ride them twice.
