We have never been to Disney quest. I know it doesn't get the best reviews but my 3 children were looking forward to going there this past Sept but then we left Disney 3 days early due to an incoming hurricane. We are going back to Disney this Aug/Sept and I am hoping it will still be open. Do they usually announce the closing, close to the closing date or do they give sufficient notice? Anyway in the know?

Zero word on a closing date.

The last time they announced anything about closing,
the pending new use for the building fell through and the closing was cancelled.
No addition info has been forthcoming.

You will hear about it on these boards when anything is announced.

We always have fun when we go. I think folks would have kept going if they had spent the money on new games rather than just pull each time parts stopped being available. It was always great for a few hours of indoor fun.

DD (used to work there) was just texted today they removed or are removing the area where you could purchase video, drawings etc. and putting in massage chairs aka Parent Rest Area.

That could be a good sign. I doubt they would be putting new equipment in there if they were planning on closing anytime soon.

We were there last week and Guest Relations told us it should be open for all of 2017. My kids like to go so I upgraded my AP to a premium plus and they gave me a Disney Quest AP with it.

Great to hear, I know I am in the monority but I love this place! Yes, it is a shadow of its former glory but it is still a lot of fun if you are a game person. All the old and new game mix- I can get lost in here for hours, I am still a kid at heart LOL! Now I need to check about if can now get an annual annual pass for this.

I love DQ too, but if they are to keep it open they need to improve the maintenance. I could tell on my last visit that they were letting it go, but I knew of the impending closure at the time so it made sense (this was over a year ago). Now that the closure plans fell through, well, they really need to at least fix up their working attractions, then maybe think about replacing ones that have been removed completely.

We think it's great. We just were there for the 2nd time this Tuesday. Lots of fun. Just wish we would've realized how good it was earlier. You can always go to the official Disney Quest site and that would tell you if it was announced

Thank you for sharing this. I went to Guest Relations at DS and they were able to add DQ to my Platinum Plus AP as well. Nice to know DQ is included with AP and won't have to use my WPM visits for it.

More like heading toward closing

I think likely that they were not selling any of the items there so were removing the counters. The Sid Toy Design, Easel Art and the Animation Classes are right there so I see it as no message other than giving parents a spot to sit and see their kids.
