Can anyone tell me exactly what this is? Is it like a Chucky Cheese? I also heard that they offer the animation classes there? Is the cost of the class included with admission. Just looking into a few options if we get rained out one day which we may. Not that I mind getting wet but I don't like being wet all day.
Thanks

Among other things, it's a large video games arcade.

Scheduled to close permanently sometime in 2016.

It is an "indoor, interactive theme park" or, as Robo says, a big arcade, though there is a bit more to it. They have older VR style games, and group games, like the Pirates of the Caribbean game, which has projections on 3 walls and a boat that moves as one steers and the others all fire cannons, and a "Cyberspace Mountain" where you design a roller coaster than ride it in a pitch & roll simulator (similar to Sum of All Thrills at Epcot). There are a few other things like that as well, plus a floors with just games form recent to classics. On a coll note they also have the "Fix-It Felix Jr." games from Wreck-It Ralph.

There is an "Animation Academy" that is free to participate in, though it is done digitally and if you want a copy of your drawing I think you can buy it. There are also music video booths that you can buy the final product from if you want.

Honestly, the place is okay, but very dated. I LOVE the POTC game, but everything else is kinda meh. I do love the classic arcade games (and Ski Ball!), but the working condition of some of them is questionable (TRON where the spinner doesn't work?), but at least they're all on free-play.

I'm SO disappointed that we only did Cyberspace Mountain once, and now it's going away before our next trip. It was really slow day the day we were there (a tuesday afternoon) and the attendant at Cyberspace Mountain queued up the morning "Test run" that goes through every possible combo and let us do it after we did the one we designed. I was really looking forward to doing it again.

Make sure to check out Sum of All Thrills at Epcot (it's in Innoventions East) as it is very similar to Cyberspace Mountain (actually a bit better). The line will probably be longer though.
