In all of our trips to the world this is one thing we have NEVER done.

I have a few questions

How long should we plan to stay there?

What would be the best day?

Is it worth going?
(If we were to go we would tie it in with an evening at DTD)

What should we expect (DD is 8)

We have 14 day tickets and I think entrance is covered but do you have to pay anything else?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Its good fun for the young un's,I found it chaotic but they have internet so that appealed to me..We spent a couple of hours,then went back when we had a spare couple of hours,

Been a few times, 1st time was the best. went for opening expecting to stay a bout 2-3 hours then out for lunch. They had to throw us out at closing spent 12 hours in there.
2nd time good again. 3rd time we stayed about 2 hours and came out, it was sooo busy. They say it gets busy on rain days, never tried.
As you can't see in all you can do is try, hope its quiet but the crowds make a massive difference to enjoyment, not the sort of place you want to line up for things.
Just about all the games are free, might be some prize games you pay for not sure, all free what we did.
Something you have to try for yourself, some people don't like it at all. We might call in this August as we have it on or tix again, wasn't included in our AP's last 2 years.

You will obviously need money for fod and drink but almost everything else is covered.
There are plenty of things for the kids (and grown ups too) and the Pirates thingy is certainly worth a go.
To be honest a couple of hours will do you for a visit - but don't be surprised if the little ones want to go back again.
I would also say timing is everything and would suspect that if you do it in the evening it will be a lot busier than if you were to go early afternoon.

We went to disneyquest for the first time during our visit last year and really loved it. Admission included in the 14 day ticket and I just made it clear we wouldn't be paying any extras though I don't recall there being too many 'pay' games. We arrived far too early -think it opened at 11am-and easily spent the whole afternoon. Not sure why we haven't been before -really appealed to my three boys -12,17,19 -and I spent a fair time with a coffee,cheescake and good book in the cafe! Not sure if it would have same appeal to an 8yr old girl. We treated it as a rest day, just had a laze by the pool afterwards.

Our girls 10 & 12 at the time really enjoyed Disney Quest, we arrived for opening & managed to get round the things they wanted to do, we had a resi for BBB early afternoon, so couldn't stay long.

It's worth going for a few hours, great fun!

I found it rather claustraphobic. We've usually only spent a couple of hours here - including cheescake! As we've always visited in August we found it a useful indoor attraction for the early afternoon to get out of the heat.

I've never been but might give it a quick go on our upcoming trip and see for ourselves what it is like.

We've been a couple of times, when it opens at 11:30am. DH & I do a few 'rides/games' with the kids. Our favorites are; Pirates of Caribbean, sort of interative simulator-captain has to steer the ship the other 2/3 fire cannons at pirate ships etc-score at end. Astro-Blasters-sort of like dodgems but you 'hoover' up soft footballs to fire at others-if you hit them it causes them to spin.

To be honest DH and I have had enough after about an hour or so; last twice we left kids there for another couple of hours (Aged 15 & 13 last year) whilst we looked around DTD, then picked them up again.

You can have lunch there on the DDP-CS.

This year we plan to do it on our last day-get there for 11:30am and leave for airport about 3pm. Not sure I could spend all day there-I must be getting old!!!

Our family loves it in here. There is plenty to do and most things are free. We tend to bob in after a water park day. Our youngest DS was 6 on the first visit and loved being measured by the Genie. He had plenty to do. Eldest DS was 9 and he too had fun. We always do the virtual rides, Aladdin's carpet, Family rafting and of course the POC experience. I'm sure your family will think it is well worth it too

My daughter who is 8 loves it here. We used to go and I would get a booth in Wonderland Cafe get a slice of Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake and a drink and look on the internet while DD and DH played on all the games.

Then last June when we went the Cheesecake Factory Counter had gone, I wasn't happy but I did still go on the Internet.

Then in December the Internet was gone too, the computers were still there but they wouldn't allow internet access any longer and I tried more than one computer on different days.

It still has the same appeal to DD and DH but not for me

My 8 year old son loves it but my limit is about an hour so what we do is my husband will go in with my son while I look round DTD. Usually go for ice cream and hot chocolate at the ice cream parlour which I have forgotten the name of. Then I go and take over from my husband who then goes and wanders around Virgin Mega store. Its very noisy in there but a young boys dream. If you can go when its not busy thats the best. Go when it opens and you could probably easily spend 3 hours there. No need to spend anymore money unless you want something to eat or drink.

We went on our last trip and stayed a couple of hours but none of us were terribly impressed. We're glad we went to see what it was all about but wouldn't go back.

I can tell we are in the minority though as we went during what we thought would be a quiet time and it was still busy!
