Our countdown has reached 3 days and the excitement is building. I am looking for Disney Quest information and thoughts. My DW isn't sure she wants to go there and I think it would be a fun evening with our DS (9) and DDS (twins 6). Thanks for sharing.

I just got back from a 7 day trip.

I ended up going to Disney Quest on my last day after checking out of Beach Club, but before driving home.

I saved Quest as a opption if we got a rain day....but it was nice for the entire trip and I wanted to fit it in so we ended up doing it the last day.

Quest has reagular video games and 7 Big interactive super-games. Of the big games.....Pirates of the Carabean was great!, Jungle Cruise was also very good, and I also liked the Alien Encounter. We didn't do the flying Carpet ride/game, or the cyber Space Mountian, or buzz bumper cars.

As adults...we found one floor with all the video games from the 70's and 80's and spent a few hours getting lost.

I'm not much of a gamer...but with 4 or 5 floors of stuff to try, it was a great way to spend 4 hours.

My DH and I went to DQ "just to check it out" last year and absolutely loved it. He's 54 and I'm 44 (old enough to be silly?) and we loved the pirate ship best of all, we nearly wet our pants playing it laughing so so hard. The CM let us ride multiple time w/out leaving our "ship" and getting in line again. Also I made cool art stuff on these screens, and odd toy story dolls. We designed and rode a killer roller coaster. We ended up going 3 times during our 11-day WDW visit. They have food, fun, and pirates. What more could a middle aged couple vacationing w/no kids want in a park? :goodvibes

I vote YES, go, at least once. They also have a bumper car type ride that shoots things at other cars (more fun!)

We can't wait to go back again.

I agree with you (disagree with DW LOL) except that you might want to allow more time than just an evening... personal opinion. We've done it a few times and I think your children's ages are perfect to have a blast there (the only thing our youngest wanted to do on the first trip, she was under 3yrs old at the time, was doing the color-on-screen stuff and she was too short. Even the stepstool things weren't high enough so we had to hold her up the entire time! But the older two have always had a blast there... ranging in ages from 5 up to 11. That's all I have experience with. Actually our youngest enjoyed it more this past summer (turning 5 during that trip) -- IOW very young probably don't enjoy it as much, and much older teens might not enjoy it as much... SOME anyway. personally I enjoyed it (and so did DH) so if adults can have fun there I would imagine all but the "grumpiest" teen should like it too. If nothing else atleast the virtual things and the free arcade games. :)

We enjoy going my ds15 can spend the entire day there without ever getting bored. My dd16 loves it too but doesnt' spend as much time there. She enjoys having a treat there as does my dh. There really is something for everyone as well as things to do together as a family like pirates, and the raft ride. It is worth spending more than an evening there. :cheer2:

me and my husband (25 and 24 respectively) went this past november cos we could get in for free with our passes, so decided to see what it was.
neither of us are particularly into games, we played a couple, but didnt stay more than half hour. if your wife is not the gaming type, she'll probably be bored stiff. maybe you could book her into the grand floridian spa for the evening or something similar, so she can have a great night, and you can spend a night being one of the boys

I can say that I thought the same way that your wife did before we went. :rotfl: We were only able to stay a few hours and all wished for more time. The thing that I loved was that we could play a game as a family (all be on the pirate ship together and everyone had different jobs). It was REALLY fun--not your typical game room. That's what I thought--upgraded Chucky Cheesse--but I was wrong. :flower3: Give it a chance and you may want to stay longer too.

Oh, my DD9 was so disappointed that we didn't have time for the animation classes that they offer. very cool and many different ones are offered during the day.

If I remember correctly, one admission covers most everything.

how much are the games
Playing the games are free. There is certainly plenty in there to pay for though. One of the best things we bought was videos of the roller coasters our kids designed. It is short but a blast to watch them. My DD who was 8 at the time and had never been on a roller coaster that went upside down, designed one with 6 or 7 loops. She loved it and is now a roller coaster freak.
