Disney Quest worth it?

Not sure if this is the best place for this post, but do you think DQ is worth the price? I know we usually get a buy one, get one free admission in our coupon book, but we have never taken advantage of it yet. Our older child is five and just now into video games (she'll be closer to six when we visit). I would personally love the virtual coaster and virtual adventure games and think she would like some of them too. I think DH would also like them, but we have a two year old, and I don't know what if anything there is for a toddler to do there. It's not like MK where there's something around every corner for even babies to enjoy.

My daughter was 7 last year. I know that's a little older, but she absolutely loved it! She really like Buzz light years astro blaster, the virtual river ride and the virtual Pirates of the Caribbean. She also loved the drawing class. She learned to draw Donald Duck;) We are definitely going again this year she has been asking me since we made our reservations.

Disney Quest is fun, but I'm not sure I'd pay for admission.

Your 5 year old would love Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters. It's like bumper cars and dodgeball in one really cool experience. We (adults) loved Cyberspace Mountain-- rode it over and over, but I don't know if your 5 year old could ride it yet.

There's a game room with retro video games, air hockey tables, etc. When we had APs, we would go there just for the game room if it was too rainy to comfortably do a park.

There's really nothing for your baby, and overall I would say a lot of the attractions are outdated. Disney really hasn't put a lot into updating DQ. I think your 5 year old would enjoy it, but maybe send her with her dad to save on your admission (which would honestly be wasted if you are taking care of the baby). You can do something special with the baby while your daughter has daddy-daughter time.

I know this is a little deep, but are there arcade games and stuff at Disneyquest? Racing games like Outrun and such that you would see in a normal arcade. My girlfriend LOVES them, and so for us this would be a really cool evening activity if they were there!

It was worth it for us one year because we went to Florida but not only Disney. We were only planning on going to MK for a day, but also had an extra day available so we did DTD and DisneyQuest, which was only about...$40? for each of us to get in vs. the $95/ea for one of the parks.

My kids were 11, 7, and 5 at the time and we all had fun.

I can't answer your question about DQ, but lots of the resorts have arcades with those classic games. I have a treasured pic of my DH on our honeymoon playing Galaga at the arcade in Wilderness Lodge.

ETA: I just noticed this on the DQ page on the Disney website: "Check out the Replay Zone for classic arcade games! Find old favorites like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Space Invaders, Tron, Spy Hunter, Centipede, Asteroids, Q-bert and Mario Bros. It’s a blast from the past!"

My DQ question, might be a DUH question, but I just want to know for sure. If you have to pay admission, are the games free, or do you also have to get tokens or something?

The games are free after you pay admission. You don't get tickets for games like skee-ball. So no tickets to trade in for prizes. My youngest was a little disappointed, but I was secretly glad not to get the extra junk prizes!
