I've been wondering about this place for years. The admission is now $35---what does that include? Are all of the games separate?

kabbie -- if you plan to go, do NOT buy full price tickets. Ticketmania has a great discount (it's even cheaper if you subscribe to the Mouseseavers newsletter and use the link from them). Our kids really enjoyed it. It's not something DH and I will likely do again (although we did get a bit carried away playing all the old arcade games like PacMan and Donkey Kong!) but we felt it was worth the discount ticket price.

You can easily spend the day there. Take a break to eat in DTD then re-enter. I needed a break from the screens and indoor lighting. Not so for my boys. Also, compared to what you might pay for Chuck E Cheese it's a bargain (as well as so much better than local arcade places). Ticketmania tickets are the way to go if you do not have the new MYW tickets with extras.

I am also wondering if you think 5 hours there in the day time hours in the summer is enough time for a 13 year old to feel he got enough time and for us to feel we got our money's worth? We did go once a few years ago at night when it was included in our ticket, but I can not remember how long we were there. I know as an adult a couple of hours would be enough for me I am sure. However, DS (13) loves video games.

Thanks :)

I think 5 hours will be enough. Our DS12 is addicted to his PC and his PS2 games and I think we did 4 hours with lunch in there too. Being summertime though, make sure you get there at opening. It gets a lot more crowded later on, and lines for some of the attractions can get lengthy.

I also think it's a nice idea to break in DTD for lunch, but if you don't, we found Food Quest (inside DQ) to be one of the better CS locations anywhere in WDW. Portions are enormous and there are many things to choose from. Plus you have the Cheesecake Factory desserts. :cake:

Thanks for the response. The only problem is the day we were planning on going we were not going to get there until probably 12:30 because we were planning a late breakfast. I thought this would still be less crowded than at night time, unless of course it pours all day. Do you think that is too late and it will be packed by 12:30? Maybe we should rethink our plans!!

Thanks again. :sunny:

I think DQ usually opens around 10:30 or 11:00. We noticed the crowd really picked up around 2 or so. So I think you might be able to still make the trip manageable.

Thanks Snowy76 If we can not fit it in on another day earlier then maybe we will try for after the late breakfast. Thanks for your quick responses. I appreciate them! :sunny:

DisneyQuest is where we go on Rainy days or at night after a park closes early. So if you go on a sunny day in the afternoon you should be good.

I tried to locate tickets for DQ at ticketmania and could not get to them. I clicked on the DQ link and was directed to a mostly blank page with a link for park hopper passes. Am I doing something wrong?

For those that have not been recently, they no longer have the games where you win tickets to turn in for prizes. These are now free play. It seems like a lot of people monopolize certain games. We went last week -- my DS was so excited about playing a bunch of ticket games only to find out that they no longer exist. We spent $136 and were only there an hour. The lines for the virtual reality games were long and my youngest DS was only tall enough to ride a couple. We will not be returning.

If you are getting there at 12:30 do the virtual reality games first (Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribean, Space Mountain) then do the smaller video games and anything in the create zone. It is true that some people monopolize games, but I have been asked to leave a game and comply (after playing 2 times after waiting 20 minutes for the game) so I would speak up if you wanted a turn for yourself. I would also wait for your kids- mine aren't good at speaking up for themselves. I usually say- "Remember you're after the girl in the red shirt" when someone comes up to the game and looks like they are ready to pounce . If the forcast is for rain- or raining- I would skip it and go to Epcot (a very good choice for rainy days :sunny: ).

How tall is your youngest son? Just curious because I am trying to figure out if it is worth it for my 5 yr old son. He is about 44 inches.
