DQ is 5 floors of video games of all kinds - traditional ones, but also unique Disney style games. Our favorite is the Pirates of the Carribbean in which you enter a small room that looks like a pirate ship, and you wear 3-D glasses. The floor moves as if your were actually sailing and one person steers and the other people shoot cannons at other pirates and ghosts. It's a blast!
There's also a river rapids ride in which you sit in an actual inflatable raft and paddle with wooden paddles that are electronically synced to the movie screen in front of you so it feels like you are going down the river.
There's also a floor of creative things where you can make drawings and sound recordings, etc.
There's no charge for any of the games at all. There is a charge for purchasing copies of some of the art things you make - but you can still have lots of fun and not purchase anything.
It's a very unique experience. When it gets crowded, it is also very noisy and highly stimulating, and the wait for activities can be long (what else at WDW?) But it's definitely worth going at least once to check it out. I'm pretty sure you can come and go with your ticket throughout the day - i seem to remember them handstamping. Also, it doesn't open usually until 11:00. There's a food court on the top floor with a variety of choices and you can use the
DDP for food.
ENJOY!
