I think my ds14 and dd 16 would enjoy DQ for a night or afternoon. We are buying hopper passes with the extras so entrance would be included, I was reading and I know there are free games inside but it also says that there are games that require tokens. Are most of the games free or are they few and far between? Will going in there set me back a small fortune in tokens?
Thanks

Most were free . They will really enjoy it there , it's a must do for my kids.

We were there two weeks ago for the very first time. Wow...what a blast!! Your kids will definitely have a great time. I am NOT a "gaming" type person, and only bought tix because I knew DH and the kids would have a good time. Well, I had just as much fun!! I looked at my watch at one point and couldn't believe that 5 hours had gone by in the blink of an eye!!!

Anyway....to answer your question....ALL the games we saw were free. The only ones that required extra $$ or tokens were the "claw" type games that give you prizes (ie: stuffed animals, candy, etc). There were very few of those around. Every other video game, virtual reality experience, interactive game....was free! I lost track of how many games of pinball I played!

Have fun!

Does anyone know how many pinball games there are? My DH loves pinball and is hoping to play several different games.

I can't say precisely how many pinball machines there are, but there are QUITE a lot of them, so no problem going with the expectation of playing lots of (*free*) pinball! They have all kinds of *classic* games, including pinball machines and things like Space Invaders.

Another poster said that there weren't many pinball games, and that they always had lines, so I guess it depends on how crowded it is.

I heard that they're still in the process of getting rid of the cost-associated games. They used to have skeeball and games that give out tickets, & you could exchange the tickets for prizes. Parents complained that they paid all this money to get in, and then their kids spent lots more money trying to earn cheap little prizes. So, they just got rid of the prizes, & the games are still there- but free.

Well I am so glad to here that they got rid of those ticket games...I hate taking my son to arcades that have them...they spend so much money and work so hard for the stupidest junk toys...and when they do have something worth getting...you can never get it cause you NEVER can get enough tickets...what a crock! Anyways...I will be so happy to take my son to Quest now knowing it isn't like that...I really was going to skip it otherwise!

Thanks for letting us know about the changes!

Some games require that you press an additional green button a little smaller than a dime, before pushing the "start" button. (Both buttons can be hard to find.)

I use minutes, not balls or pushes of the start button, when judging if and when someone is hogging a game.

I only saw four "ordinary" pinball machines, this was last May. They were "modern" with electronic scoring, not the antique kind with wheels for scoring.
