We are only doing 1 Theme Park for our Family vacation...the rest is relaxing at the resort (Marriott Grande Vista).

4 Tired Adults who really just want to relax but let the kids have fun...
4 Kids- Ages 2, 4, 7, 15

For Disney Quest- We have been before and DH likes it because it's Indoors and close to Downtown Disney. He's not ready for the hot sun and deal with DS (Age 4) in long lines...

For Sea World- *I* feel, it makes more sense to go here because I've read that it's very close to Marriott Grande Vista AND has much more to offer than Disney Quest. That way, if a kid needs down time (My 2 year old niece) we can go back to the resort....while the others stay at the park.

We are all travelling together in 1 Van. The rule is we all stick together.

Since we are going in July, DH says it will be too hot for Sea World.

From my experience with Disney Quest, I predict we will be exhausted after chasing DS around. It's like a big Chuck E Cheese Palace.

I have read about Shamu's Happy Harbour where I can actually sit down and relax while DS plays in their playground and from what I've seen on the pictures, it's shaded.

Plus, we will be doing lots of shows.

Which would you pick based on my information?

The only thing I can say is I personally LOVE Sea World. I can't wait to go when we get there in May!

I have never been to Disney Quest, but it sounds like a fun place to go!

Since they are such completely different attractions, I am not sure what I would do. My family gets bored at Disney Quest in a rather short period of time...give us a few hours and there are several waiting to leave. There is hardly anything for the little ones to do in my opinion.

Sea World can be a whole day and offers things for all age ranges...however, it will be hot!

I agree. DQ is a couple hours worth of things to do if you hit it as soon as it opens. If I was looking to kill a day I'd choose SW.

With SeaWorld, there are lots of places where you can cool off. Indoor shows, misters. Lots of fun for the kids at Shamu's Happy Harbour - bring a change of clothes or two! Plenty of opportunity for the kids to get soaked.

Often you can get a 1 day pass, but upgrade it for 7 days. Look and see if seeworld are doing that for your trip. That way you could do Seaworld over 2 or three days, getting out when it gets to warm or too busy for you. Then you could head back to the parks.

I did hear a rumour that Disney Quest is going to close in 2008 so it may be your last chance to visit it. http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2006/04/25/2051.aspx

Personally I would choose SeaWorld over Disneyquest - I think it is just more fun all round - but your family may be different.

We love both places but if its a choice Seaworld without question. It has something for everyone and its a full day and more. DQ we think is great but others dont and not very enjoyable if busy, July I would expect it to be busy.
Seaworld is not like at San Diego where all shows are open, there is cover (depending which direction the sun is falling) over just about everything. and a lot more indoors.
We have had AP's for Seaworld for about 5 years now and still enjoy it just as much as first visit.

My vote is for Sea World. The 2nd day is free. Check out the discounts at mousesavers.com
You are staying close enough to head back to the hotel mid-day for a nap/swim, etc...

Sounds more like you should do a pool day.

We never went to Seaworld. But Disney Quest was crowded and alot of the games were not working. We probably wouldn't do it again.

We loved Sea World. I was very surprised since I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was. Having said that, we went in February and I did say that I wouldn't want to do Sea World in the summer because it was hot.

I feel Disney Quest is overrated. My boys liked it okay, but we won't waste our time there this time.

I'd go to Sea World anytime over Disney Quest. We've been to the one in San Antonio many times. We never get tired of it!

DisneyQuest is a place to go for a couple of hours or if it's raining at the parks.Sea World is a full day(or more) theme park with tons of shows, rides and places to eat.Without even thinking about it do Sea World,I know you're thinking is that it will be July so it will be hot,so try and do things indoors like the Pets Ahoy show,Wild Arctic, Odyssea,go eat at Sharks or the restaurant in the waterfront, later in the day they also offer the Luau, also indoors!!You're older kids can do Kraken or Journey to Atlantis. The main shows are covered so even if it's hot at least the sun won't be on you!!DisneyQuest is nice but it's basically a glorified arcade,Sea World is a full service theme park,I don't know who would suggest DQ over SW!!

Well I really don't know. Because I havent been on either one of those rides during my trip. But from all of those replies it looks like everyone liked sea world.

Well, this might make it really easy to rule out Disney Quest with a 2-year-old along... NO STROLLERS allowed! Seriously, Disney Quest is just not going to be good for your younger ones. Seaworld is the way to go!

We got bored with Disney Quest after a couple of hours. We love Sea World, though. We actually could have spent 2 days there. It will be hot, but there are plenty of places to relax and cool off.

never been to seaworld...but disney quest is just ok!!!! if i had a chance to do it over again i would go to Seaworld!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boys absolutely adore Disneyquest and we have to go there every time we visit Disney. Usually my older teen will want a couple of visits there. We have always taken our younger kids there too and find they are perfectly happy. The stroller issue is not a problem because there is very little walking. I prefer it to walking around in the heat. My kids do enjoy seaworld too but it would be disney quest all the way if it was a choice between the two.
