No they can't! 🤣
They can. Especially if it’s a “vaccinated bubble.” Even at 90% effective for cruisers age 12+, it would greatly reduce the threat of an outbreak onboard.
It’s ok to be positive every now and again. TWDC has fingers in so many aspects of our lives, and they’ve used those to learn how to operate even with the world caving in around them.

We don't know how long it remains 90% effective yet...

Ok. Assume an annual booster like a flu shot. Add it to the ticket contract that you have to prove vaccination within a year. Problem solved.
Maybe we’ll learn over time that it’s 2 years effective. Or 5, or 10.
See, that wasn’t so hard.

Or 3 months...

35% estimates based on insider estimates I’ve seen which are mostly pretty dated:

MK: 31,000
Epcot: 35,000
DHS: 25,000
DAK: 25,000

35,000 at Epcot is more than their average attendance. DAK and DHS attendance at 25,000 would be like normal crowds on a weekday in early September.

Everyone’s smallpox vaccines wore off 20 years ago. But we eradicated the virus so it doesn’t matter. 🤷‍♂️

This is fake news until they translate into fully paid subscribers. Great way to pump the numbers for public perception though!
True. Some of them are starting to convert, but I’m not sure that was captured here. It will be interesting g to watch the retention rate.
We’ll stick around because we love the content, but I can see the casual fan getting overwhelmed and frustrated with how much is out there. The dashboard feels wonky, and I don’t even know what to suggest to fix it.

What id find interesting with D+ is where they are with rollout around the world now vs where they planned to be. Have they rolled out additional countries earlier than forecast?

They was a trick apple used in their results for many years to make it appear sales were doing much better than they were - then they ran out of new countries and numbers stopped looking so good.

That would explain why you hear reports of it being "too crowded". IF they hit their "max" reduced capacity... it just means they are "weekday slow season" crowded (which was still "too crowded" to some in the old days).

So they really aren't turning anyone away (except maybe at MK and DHS). And it isn't "ghost town" crowds anymore. Gotcha. THey definitely are going to have to get "creative" though when the parks due get near that max 35% capacity .. because social distancing and queues just don't work very well together. :)

Though . I doubt they will reach max capacity for a LONG time (again .. except at MK and DHS) .. especially once the Christmas season is over.

SeaDream is going to show that a bubble without vaccines or quarantine in the port city pre cruise are the only way a bubble will work. 5 pos cases so far.

Different times than when that and polio vaccines were done. We also got rid of measles in the US until someone unvacinated or with an old vaccine travels here. Just had someone go through the airport in seattle with it last week. Too many won't get the covid vaccine just in the US nevermind elsewhere, it won't be eradicated.

It hasn't been a ghost town since mid August.

They’re already getting creative. We are canceling our January trip - too creative for us. I wouldn’t feel safe.

annual flu vaccine isn’t a booster

Why would they need to translate it? Verizon is paying Disney for that deal, it’s not like they’re getting these deals from Disney for their customers as a kind gesture. While it’s likely extremely discounted, they’re still paid subscriptions.
