I'll be going to Disney this summer with a group of 12. We've never been to Ohana but have heard great reviews. I have been trying to get us an ADR for a few months now.
At first, I was trying by phone. One of the CM's I spoke to told me it would be easier for me to split my group up, and use the online system to book the reservation. So that is what I did. I split us up into 2 groups of 6 and tried to get us an ADR online.
I managed to get 2 reservations for 6 people at Ohana for the same night.
I booked one at 8:25 and then one at 8:35. My husband and I thought, that since the reservations were only 10 minutes apart, that maybe we could get the two combined, or our groups could at least sit near each other.
I called Disney and asked to have them combined. I was told that they could not do that, and because my reservations were in the same name, one or both would probably be cancelled.
The CM did change the email address and phone number attached to one of them, but he still said there was no guarantee I would still have both.
This is my first time booking an ADR at Disney so I had no clue. If I had known that, I would have put it under someone else's name. Has anyone had their reservation cancelled like this before? Any suggestions on what I can do?
