Hey Everyone,

I'm not sure I'm doing this right, but..............Does anyone have a feel for if Disney will offer any promotions for late fall, like they did last year? (We got free dining on our trip from 11/29/09-12/05/09).

I know they just offered the free dining Aug-Oct, but that's kind of early for us. Just wondering if anyone had any idea of the liklihood that they'll offer that again this year?

Word from the top boss is that they expect to be cutting back on the deep discounting, but who knows what will really happen.

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

You can try to get a "pin" emailed to you. This is a special discount that it sent to only a particular person or household. They are either sent email or snail mail.

These codes are sent out soley at Disney's discretion. There are several "pins" that have been sent out that have discounts good through mid-December.

Also, if you head over to the Rates and Codes board, there are several threads going that discuss how to get a pin sent to you. Some threads give "tips" you can use that have worked for others. (We got the 20/30/40% off room-rate only pin which we are using for our November trip.)

I decided to take this year off from WDW, so, of course, I've gotten numerous PINs this year. I've been able to resist, so far. The latest was free dining good for these date:

For stays most nights 10/3/10–11/23/10 and 11/28/10–12/24/10.

There have been times when I've gotten emails with promotions much later than others who have posted about receiving offers, so if you haven't gotten one yet, that doesn't mean you won't. I think we're going to go to Orlando in Oct anyway to see Harry Potter at Universal so we might as well go to WDW and eat a lot. Disney marketing strikes again!
