Disney Princess Questions

We are going next week, and according to the 2007 Birnbaum guide book, there is a show in Fantasyland called 'Snow White - An Enchanting Musical.' However, when looking at the Disneyland website, I haven't seen anything about it. Is it still there? Any info?

Also, any tips on the Princess Fantasy Faire? Good time to go - way to avoid long lines?

A friend said her daughter dressed in a snow white costume and received special treatment around the park - anyone have that experience?

Snow White was cancelled a while back, and now the Princess Fantasy Faire (or PFFT!, as it's referred to around here) is there.

The lines are almost always long to see the princesses. Most people will recommend that you go to Ariel's Grotto if you want to meet the princesses. They do have some cute little shows, and those are worth it, and you can also get a paper crown and some sticker "gems" to decorate the crown with.

You don't really get any special treatment, but I have found that when DD goes in costume, a lot of people (both guests and CMs) will stop her to tell her how cute she is. A lot of the CMs refer to the little girls as "princess" whether they're dressed up or not.

I can't speak for DL, but when we went to WDW in 2006 they did seem to fuss over her more in costume. Even outside of the "Princess" meals, etc. Chip & Dale kissed her hand & were on 1 knee, another bowed to her. Everyone was calling her "Princess", which she loved! When she was dressed like Cinderella (for example), Cinderella would tell her its just like looking in the mirror, etc. So, IMO - yes they did atleast in WDW, get special treatment.......

When we took our granddaughters, they wore princess tshirts and it seemed to me that they got attention from the princesses for doing that. I'm not sure if it was more or less than other girls with full costumes. I agree with the other poster, Ariel's Grotto was a great place to see the princesses.

Thanks everyone for replies so far. We actually do have reservations at Ariel's Grotto - hooray! Like many little girls, I'm sure, my daughter's sole purpose for going to Disneyland is to 'see the princesses and give them a BIIIIGG hug!" So the more the better. We leave tomorrow!

If you are not running to Nemo or something, we found Cinderella right around opening time over to the left of the castle, as you are facing the castle. I don't know if that's always the case, but you might take a look.

We didn't have our daughters dress up in the costumes, but next time I would have them dress up at least for a character meal. My daughters wore princess crowns and jewelry around the park -- and they actually got lots of attention for that. The CM's are great about making a big deal over the kids. You will see lots of girls in princess dresses and they are very cute. I just knew my girls would get tired of it after a while (they get itchy in the dress up outfits and they can get hot if they were clothes underneath), plus I just thought the outfits might get trashed and dirty getting on and off all othe rides, etc. Next time I might bring some princess outfits and put them in the big plastic bags -- if they want to wear them, they can put them on and then when they get tired of them, I will put them back in the bags and throw them in our diaper bag.
