Let me explain.....
About 2 years ago, WDW Hotels stopped the practice of allowing one to "pre pay" their Bill with what they considered to be "Gift Cards".
They had a valid reason - they had no way to refund an OVERPAYMENT. This applied to those "points" on a Chase Disney Rewards card....
In essence - One is using a REAL CC, or something with "Points, Tokens, Credits". And the "Rewards" of a Chase Disney Rewards card are just this. It's not the "real" CC.
So - current practice.....
1) Have a MB that allows charges to your MB.
2) Use this, until your magic "Rewards Points" are LOWER than your current MB Bill. Think between 1-4 days.
3) Go to FRONT DESK - present "Chase Disney Rewards card" - and ask them to DRAIN it, on current bill.
You CAN NOT prepay these stinking "Reward Points" anymore.... this ended a good 2 years ago. To Disney's credit? They had a legitimate issue with the ability to "pay back" overpayments. Even with their OWN BRANDED CARD.
So - why go through these hoops? MANY standard, real, CCs just give one CASH BACK. No "tokens, points, credits". No hoops. No "Peggy"
