Thinking about applying. Just curious what those who have it think. Pay credit cards off every month so interest rate does not effect decision.

$200 dollar credit seems nice but it is a 1 time thing.

Where are the 10% discounts available at parks? I read terms and conditions and they seem pretty restrictive for those who have this card do you get the discount many places at the parks?

How about the dining discount? Is that available at most park restaurants?

I see on the boards here that there is a special Poly offer out there now for card holders. Do these t ype of offers happen a lot or is this a rare occurrence?

Are there any other perks I am missing?

Thanks to any and all who may provide insight to me on this.

For us, no it was not worth it. I charge everything and pay it off each month as well. I use Quicken and did an analysis a few months ago to see about getting it. Since I had everything categorized I was able to tell what I'd get the 2% on (gas, grocery, etc) and what would only get 1% on and I did a years worth of purchase history. I then took that rebate but subtracted the annual fee.

I have two main credit cards and this is what gives us the best rebate. Chase Freedom (no annual fee) and use it only for the quarterly categories where I'm getting 5% cash back. This cash back just goes onto my account as a statement credit when I want it. My regular credit card is a Capital One Venture ($59 fee) which I get 2% back. I believe I could only use it for travel, which is fine for us. When I want to use my cash back, I just go to a charge on my account and apply the funds.

I have a regular Disney Visa (the one without an annual fee). I rarely use it since it's only at 1% cash back. You still get the 10% shopping discount with it. You get the special meet and great with characters with it. You are able to buy the special cardholders pin in the parks.

It was intriguing to possibly get that card and have a good portion of my trip covered each year. But i'm basically doing the same thing by just using the statement credit and clearing off travel purchases with Capital One.

I never took the $200 statement credit into consideration though. Just because, I don't sign up for cards to get the bonuses and cancel.

If you spend more than $4900 in grocery, gas, restaurants & Disney each calendar year then yes it is worth it. If you don't (like me), then no it is not worth it, just get the regular Disney Chase Visa.

It's worth it for us. We have a Super Walmart so anything we purchase there (because it's considered grocery) we get the 2 per cent. I can easily cover the $4900 with Walmart purchases alone.

We use Am Ex Blue for groceries (3%) and Citi Double Cashback card for everything else (2%)
I called to cancel our Disney Premier card bc i wanted to avoid the annual fee. To keep me as a customer he offered me $50 Disney Rewards. Well that paid for the annual fee for this year! So I kept it. Next year we will put our WDW package (Sept trip) on it so 2% back on that AND 6mo zero interest to pay will be nice to have.

We got the discount last week at almost every place we bought souvenirs. It took me a couple of days for me to get smart and have my children give me the cash for their purchases and then use the charge to get the discount. We did not eat anywhere the discount applied. When I got the card I got $100 so I figure that covers 2 years of annual fees. After that I will have to figure out what to do because I don't otherwise pay any fees/interest charges with any of my banking/finances.

Yes, I actually have the regular one too. I got the premier when I booked the trip so I could get 2% instead of 1% on what I use the card for the most.

You would get the same discounts (as far as I know) with the no annual fee Disney Visa.

Thank you. There are so many different calciulations to do. It's nice to have other people who have figured all this out.
