Disney Premier Visa/$200 gift card

I just applied for and received the Disney Premier Visa. They are offering a $200 gift card if you spend $500 in the first 3 months. My question is, would paying for my DVC dues qualify as purchase toward the required $500? Has anyone else every done this before? TIA!
