Introducing STAR

On 2‌3 F‌ebruary 20‌21, we're introducing Star as part of your current subscription. From crime to drama; from romance to horror, Star will bring you hundreds of TV series, movies and originals.

Star sits alongside Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic on your Disney+ screen. It also includes easy-to-use parental controls and PIN-protected profiles to ensure peace of mind.

I'm so excited. There is a price increase, I think it will be a €20 increase as I pay the yearly rate , not the monthly rate but for me thats worth it. I am basically getting a second streaming service for €20, as I would have renewed Disney+ anyway. Also the timing of Star is spot on. My renewal date is March 6, so people will get a taste of Star and then have to decide to renew or not. I think adding Star will keep those people who may be on the fence about renewing from cancelling.

I'm on the 3-year plan here, so if they did add it, it would just be a bonus for me for a couple more years. Of course, it's not like I won't renew pretty much regardless of price, but don't tell them that.

You don’t have to do a thing. Your Disney+ annual subscription will renew automatically for €69.99 on 24 March 2021, and it’ll be charged through your registered payment method. It’s really that simple. Like Pumbaa would say, hakuna matata! But if you’d like to cancel your subscription, you can do it via your Disney+ account before 23 March 2021.

Update
So now that I've added the parental control / pin for STAR, every time I open Disney + I have to choose a profile and put in the pin.

When I add something from STAR to my Watchlist, its the same Watchlist as I had before, so I have a combination of movies and series from Disney+ before February 23rd and all the new ones from Star all in one place.
