Is it me or do these run extremely small? Im trying to buy a bunch of pairs for my twins for this summer, last yr they were in sz 4 & fit, should I go to sz 6 this year? I think 4 will be too tiny, though my girls are average size & only 3yrs old!!!Help! ;)

I think they run small, but mostly around the arms. When my dd was 6 I got her the size 6 and they were so small around the arm bands they practically cut off her circulation! Now my dd is not a "big" girl, she is very average in size, so it wasn't that.

They are supposed to fit snug, as they are pjs, but I now purchase them a size bigger just to make sure that they don't hurt anymore.

I think they tend to run small, my kids wear a size 4, and I order size 6 for them

There's a reason why they're small. Federal regulations for cotton pjs is that they must be form fitting. Unfortunately, once they go through the dryer, they become too small.

Some people ( ;) ) have suggested in the past to go at least one size bigger to allow for shrinkage. If the child wears a 2, get a 4. If they wear a 3, I'd consider a 6 (because the child in a three would fit perfectly in the four before washing)

THANKS! I ordered a few pairs each of the 6, if they dont work Ill save for next yr! :thumbsup2

yup - always got ours at Gap or Disney store and was always told the same thing - order a size larger because they are cotton! :sunny: This is last year for DD - she has outgrown them!!!!

Am I the only one who thinks these pajamas are cut for pygmy children? The pants are huge in the waist, but run short in the legs. (The short pajamas also run big in the waist but without the length issues.) The shirts are barely long enough to cover little bellies, yet the arms are long and very tight! Maybe they are intended to be worn by chimpanzees? We have better luck with the short ones than the long ones. This year we bought most of the pajamas for the little ones at Target!

we have always had better luck than that....only once we had a pair from Disney that had really tight arms....and we have bought 4 or 5 pairs every year...maybe it is the just the Target ones?

Oh, I meant we bought NON-Disney pajamas at Target this year! :rotfl: We have Strawberry Shortcake, Spider Man, and some more generic prints that all fit fine. Even the 100% cotton ones from Target fit better than our Disney pajamas!

We have a bunch from the Disney store - long ones and short ones in 2 different sizes and all of them are gigantic in the waist. And the sleeves on the long ones are really skinny. I have trouble with Disney sizing in general, though. When DS was little it seems like the clothes in the Disney store never fit him properly. Now I nanny 2 preschoolers and those pajamas give me fits! Maybe the ones you order from the website or the catalog aren't the same ones they have in the store? :confused3

The sizing has gotten better on the pj pals at TDS since Childrens Place took over. I used to recommend guests buy them 2 sizes bigger, but now we only recommend going up 1 size. The ankles and wrists are much better than they used to be.
As far as the catalog / website, I would still go up 2 sizes since they are probably still using the same sizing we used to get.

I had no idea these actually fit real live children! I have bought them up to two sizes bigger in hopes they would fit my children and yet alas no. The arms on some of those sets appear to be too small for anyones arm to fit in. Also for reference I buy my daughter slims in jeans and such so she is by no means larger then average but Disney pjs are just way too tight. Now I only buy nightgowns for her from Disney or the shorts version of the pj pals.

Im sooo glad I ordered the sz 6 (though feel crazy doing so for a 3yr old)! I know pj's must be snug fitting or flame retardant, but seriously, maybe they are cut for chimps - straw armed, potbellied kids

DIdnt know about TCP taking over kids clothing for TDS? I ordered my pj pals online so they'll probably be cut like barbie clothes :p

FYI _ I also got "$20 off an $80 order" & another "$25 off a $75 order" combined! (totalled $45 off my entire order - I paid $100 for 6 prs pj pals, 2 swimsuits, & 2 queen sets of sheets!)
