Disney pin codes + Bill = TROUBLE *11/01 Almost time for our Happy Place*

When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do. – Walt Disney

Well I have been budget crunching, it seems like many of my fellow Disney friends have been doing the same. I just can’t justify spending money on park hoppers this trip so we will have to find lots of interesting things to do in the park we are in on any given day.

Therefore (Bill’s favorite word) we will not be going to Animal Kingdom on day 5 like I said in the previous update. It will be another all Magic Kingdom day. I figured we would spend the most time in this park anyway and this way either day they can go back to the hotel and nap or swim. We want to make sure they see SpectroMagic.

I have also secured a stroller through Orlando Stroller Rentals, I couldn’t get there online availability calendar to work, so I called and reserved it. Then I was supposed to get an email so I could accept the terms and didn’t receive that and had to email them again. That kinda worries me so I will let you all know how it works out. It should be at Pop waiting on us when we arrive. Check out Hannah’s Royal Carriage for the trip:

Baby-Jogger-City-Mini-Single-Stroll.jpg

It ha a quick fold feature and we can store it right behind Bill on the busses. The lady said it will come with a sign with our last name, but I see this as an opportunity to make something else, we will see.

As I said October is always a hard month for me. Any other time when a Disney trip is this close – 21 days until landing in Orlando, I would be in a flurry of activity packing, worrying, in a panic and too busy to think. I am so frustrated with myself right now. I just can’t seem to get excited about the trip. No amount of reading PTR/TR’s, listening to WDW music and/or to podcasts, has pulled me out of this funk. In 11 days we will be in St. Louis watching the Colts play the Rams. Bill is excited about that too. I try not to pull him down with me. He is so sweet. Ok, enough of the “poor me” routine.

I talked to Josh and Abbey today. The gist of the conversation was this:

ME: Did you tell xmil about the trip?
THEM: No, not yet.

ME: Did you tell Christian’s school yet?
THEM: No, not yet.

ME: Did you get the suitcases yet?
THEM: No, not yet.

Some of you can probably see the steam coming out of my ears can’t you? They have known about this trip since the beginning of June. Now you think I would have been like this:
rant.gif
, but I didn’t say a word. Abbey said “I bet you want to kill us, don’t you?” I said “no you are adults, just remember we drive to Nashville 20 days from today and the days will fly by. I suggest you get things taken care of asap”. I am proud of myself. I told Josh “you know I am OCD about this Disney stuff”. He said “I bet you have packed”, I said “two suitcases but not our clothes..yet”. He just laughed at me. I need some pixie dust people
rofl.gif
.

Time for Ace, I guess he felt I wasn’t paying enough attention to him lately and he got right in my face. You know I got the camera out, he has some thoughts to share with us in the next couple of installments

This just made me absolutely crack up, I can practically see the stroller tag wheels turning in your head :goodvibes

Yea! We love the Ace pictures :lovestruc

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: I'm sending you some pixie dust. Hopefully your excitement will build as you get closer!

I understand how you are feeling. I feel like I have been so inundated with the planning, that it's hard to get excited about the actual trip! Although I seem to be able to just close my eyes and imagine myself walking through the entrance to MK and all the sights, smells, and sounds, that I tend to get that excitement back.

I am sending pixiedust:pixiedust: and a bunch of :grouphug::grouphug: your way!

It would drive me absolutely bonkers to have loose ends that important this close to the trip!! I applaud you for holding back, I would've freaked out. My DH definitely thinks I'm way overplanned; what he fails to realize is that it could be 10 times worse!:lmao:

Tracy you are just in that pre-trip funk. We all go thru it! I think for most of us, planning the trip is half the fun so when the planning is done our excitement level dips.

You'll get through this. :hug::hug:

awww, it's definitely the pre-trip funk.

We all have it.

Just take a break, give yourself permission to not even think about the trip and know it will all work out.

I have to admit I would be :scared1: about the fact that they haven't told the school yet. The rest I'd let go but teachers need time to prep any work that the child might need to take with them. They might not have anything but you never know, a huge project could be due during that time.

:hug:

Pixue dust and LOTS of patience headed your way:hug:

Park Hoppers - We usually have park hoppers (becasue that is what CM's get), but we NEVER park hop with Jimmy. I think with little one's it is easier to stay in one park per day. :thumbsup2

Tracy... Why don't I hop a plane and meet you at Josh's house and we will just pack them ourselves... :laughing: While we are there we can fill in the ex MIL and talk to the school... We can be done in about an hour... :thumbsup2

I hope Josh gets everything done like you do, but I worry.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust.

Thanks, I was freaking out inside :rotfl:.

I hope you are right about it being just "pre-trip funk".

You'll get through this. :hug::hug:

Thank you :hug:.

I made a photobook for Bill for Christmas today with all sorts of Ace pictures as a surprise for him. He will love it. That took my mind off WDW for a bit. I am very upset about them not telling the school yet.

Thank you Janet. We rarely park hop even when we had AP's, I don't see this as being an issue, I hope not..

:lmao: Oh you made me laugh, thank you :hug:. I could see us showing up, packing for them, talking to the school, and having a chat with my xmil, that is too funny.

I hope the magic comes back soon. :hug:

Thank you Amy, I see you have a trip in the works, you must be so happy!

I know that pre-trip funk....

:hug:

That stroller looks awesome! :thumbsup2 And I'm sure far cheaper than renting at Disney.

And just sending along a hug. :hug:

Tracy, we used Orlando Stroller Rentals on our last family trip in October and I cannot say enough good things about them! The lady was so fantastic. She brought the stroller to us at the Windsor Hills townhouse really early in the AM (because we got in late the night before but we didn't want to miss rope drop the next day because of waiting on a stroller).

The stroller was FABULOUS (we had the double one like the single you posted) - folded so quickly. The stroller tag was at the bottom (ours was a lime green Mickey head with our name in the middle) but did not get in the way when trying to fold it. Plus I loved the orange - it matched all the October decor and it was pretty easy to find in the sea of strollers! :thumbsup2

I'm all caught up on your changes....I think skipping the hoppers is a good plan - with kids it is really hard to hop that much - just takes up too much valuable park time, IMO.

Love the pictures of Ace - he is so cute!! :)

Sara

Hey Tracy! I understand the reasoning why you didn't get the Park Hopper and it make tons of sense. The stroller looks nice that you are renting and i hope it works out well. I also hope the Josh and Abbey get things rolling.

I hope you start feeling more excited and I sure you will. I had a similar problem before last trip where I forgot to pack things and all. I am sure it will all come together.

I didn't even check the prices for a Disney stroller, this one looked so much more comfy. Thanks for the hug!

Thanks for the review of Orlando Strollers, that makes me feel better.

I am feeling good about not getting the park hoppers. I hope Hannah doesn't object to the stroller.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My xH has had some spells the last couple of days. His heart races and his left side is going numb. He has been to two separate hospitals and they say it is anxiety, they give him a shot to calm him down and send him home. He had a stress test yesterday. He woke up last night to another spell, Josh is very worried.
We told Josh that if he felt he needed to stay home because they don't know what is going on with the x, we would understand. We would just reschedule their part of the trip for June. He said no, they were just going to try to get Brian to go to another hospital that has a heart clinic just to make sure. I hope they figure out what it is very soon.
I hope that everything goes okay.:hug:
If Hannah objects to the stroller early in the trip, just go along with it - she'll be hitching a ride by lunch time the first day! ;)
I hope xH is OK.
I think you are correct on that :rotfl:. She will like her royal carriage by the middle of the first day I think.
As for the xH, all the doctors seem to think it is anxiety attacks and they gave him meds. I also found out he hasn't been wearing glasses for a very long time and OMG he is blind without them. I can't believe he was driving :scared1:. Well he has an eye doctor appointment too. Josh seems a little less upset. I hope the meds calm xH's stress.
I have long felt that the way to keep children out of trouble is to keep them interested in things. Lecturing to children is no answer to delinquency. Preaching won't keep youngsters out of trouble, but keeping their minds occupied will. – Walt Disney
I think there are many things to keep both Christian and Hannah occupied here for one day.
Yay, It is finally Disney Hollywood Studios Day. I know many people don’t like this park, consider it a half day park some even skip it altogether. Bill and I on the other hand LOVE this park. We got very acquainted with it due to our days and days there for Super Soap and Star Wars Weekends. The main reason we love it is because of the accessibility for Bill.
Bill can stay in his wheelchair for:
The Great Movie Ride
Toy Story Mania
The Backlot Tour
He can sit up front at:
Indiana Jones
Beauty and the Beast
There are designated wheelchair areas at:
Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Lights, Motors, Action
Muppets 3D
Animation Studios
The only ride he transfers for is Star Tours. He is looking forward to the refurb of this ride so much, he doesn’t have too long to wait, it will be an excuse for another trip.
Now I know we will not get all the things done I have listed, I was just showing how things are from Bill’s perspective.
Day 6 Plans
This is a definite rope drop for Bill and me, I don’t care if Abbey and Josh get up this day early or not, we will LEAVE THEM!! We have to go here:
5e92e887.jpg
We are riding then getting a fastpass. Bill and I LOVE THIS RIDE!! We have so much fun on it. Because of his Cerebral Palsy he can’t use his right hand. The accessible ride car:
63feab58.jpg
It has a push button instead of a pull string, but he can’t press the button and aim, so that is where I come in. We work as a team and it is so entertaining. I hope they decide to get up and join us. We could actually leave MK after Spectro on the previous night to get more rest, we will have to see what they think.
We will eat at 50’s Prime Time, I hope we get a playful server, we wish we could get Byron again, he was our favorite. I am going to ask if he is working that day, if he is I am going to request that we be in his section.
The last thing on the plan is Fantasmic, Josh remembers this show and wants everyone to see it.
Goals
- Be at DHS before rope drop do the fast walk to Toy Story Mania. If the kids are with us we might do a character meet and greet or two.
- Ride TSM** and then get a FP
Other things to do in no particular order
- Star Tours**
- Jedi Training Academy**
- One Man’s Dream**
- Lights Motors Action**
- Indy Stunt Show
- Beauty and the Beast**
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid**
- Muppets 3D**
- Tower of Terror (for some of us)
- RnRC (for some of us)
- The Great Movie Ride
- The Backlot Tour
- Mulch, Sweat, and Shears
- Fantasmic!**
**Must do’s, all else is time permitting
Right now it has Fantasmic at 6:30pm and the park closing at 8pm. I can see something changing there so I will keep an eye on the times. Sounds like we should get back to Pop at a decent hour, at least I hope so.
Time for Acey, this one is a tribute to our Peep Jordan:
Next up… Animal Kingdom, really I promise
