I have two favorite spots for photo ops near Cinderella's castle. (Added bonus: Because they're tucked away, you actually stand a chance of getting a good picture without 1,000 passersby in the middle of your shot.

)
1. To the right of the castle, there's a bridge that leads toward the Fairytale Garden and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. I snapped a cute picture of my DD standing on that bridge and gazing up at the castle in her Snow White dress. (Sometimes a PhotoPass photographer is stationed there to take family photos.)
2. If you hook left at the end of that bridge and continue on the path that leads past the Fairytale Garden (and behind the castle), you'll stumble upon a wishing well. If you frame the shot right, you can get a photo of your family posing near the wishing well with part of the castle in the background.
Wow! I'm terrible with directions. (I hope that made sense...)

The International Flower & Garden Festival will be taking place in Epcot while you're there in May. That should provide some vibrant backgrounds for photos. There are topiaries shaped like Disney characters, and I read that there's a butterfly garden, too.

Don't forget to simply snap photos of the details, such as seasonal decorations and Hidden Mickeys.

Oh, and I totally agree with the previous poster, who suggested that you take plenty of candid photos of your DD interacting with the characters -- not just the posed ones!
Happy planning! 'Hope this helps!
