This is a really great shot!!! I love the contrast between the vivid colors of Boardwalk and the gloomy skies.

Lucky shot...you should see the dozens of Fantasmic! shots that are throwaways!

I was using my D50 with 70-300VR lens. ISO was 1600, which is one area in which the D50 really shines. I used spot metering mode, too, since the dark background will often fool the camera's meter in other modes. Shutter speed was 1/30 sec, and focal length used was 240mm. The VR definitely made the shot possible at that combination of slow shutter speed and long focal length. And, finally, the original image was a bit underexposed, and I did a little PP in Picasa, to up the brightness a tad.
