Disney Picture of the day Part 5

Not that I compare myself to the pros on here, but I've done OK my point and shoots. My two most recent trips I had Kodak z700 (I think), and I just recently bought a Panasonic Lumix tz1. I love my new camera because it is much smaller than my Kodak was, but still has 10X optical zoom.
But in all honesty, most of the time I carry a waist pack that holds my canon powershot with a couple of extra cards and a battery; the point and shoot takes almost all of our memorable shots and they look great when put on a dvd as a slideshow with music. So don't burden yourself with what camera to use because the most memorable photos are shot from the hip so to speak. Remember that your there to enjoy the moment and not worry about getting the picture right.
As I tell my other photographers, "if you see it happen, it's already to late to photograph."

p.s. Love the picture of your son!
Thanks to both of you for the advice! :goodvibes I think I may upgrade to the Lumix, keep that in a waist pack, and just enjoy! I know what you mean about just enjoying the moment - it's why I've resisted trying anything more elaborate! At my current lack-of-skill level ;), I'd miss all the good shots! I'll save that practice for later some time. :thanks: We're going to our first MNSSHP in a few months and I wish I could get good night shots, though - wish me luck!

He is just too cute!
What a cutie-pie!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

So...B&W or sepia ??
I vote for sepia, but love 'em both! :thumbsup2

So here we go..................

I make a living from photography and when we come to Disney I always bring my camera bag, alot of different lenses, two camera bodies, and a tripod. This way when I am at a slower pace I can walk around and take my time finding subjects to photograph. But in all honesty, most of the time I carry a waist pack that holds my canon powershot with a couple of extra cards and a battery; the point and shoot takes almost all of our memorable shots and they look great when put on a dvd as a slideshow with music. So don't burden yourself with what camera to use because the most memorable photos are shot from the hip so to speak. what a nice way to put it tom! i think sometimes its hard to enjoy the moment because i'm always trying to capture it in a pic to save the moment!

very beautiful colors debbie! very nice picture. thanks for sharing. we have never seen the lion king show, but it's on the list for august.

I put this on my SWW thread, but I thought it was interesting seeing the sweat (especially considering I wasn't close to him when I took the photo):

Thanks! Searched the web FOR-EVER for that one and my avatar!

I've got two boys, so I don't get to do Princesses much! Just Pirates! (Can you guess what we're flippin' between right now? Hannah Montanna [for the 10-year old] and Pirates of the Carribean on ABC [for the 7-year old])!

Sounds like you've "Got the best of both worlds". . sorry, sometimes I can't help myself! My DD5 is into hannah, even though she understands very little of it!

Yep! It gets crazy around here when she comes on....They need to start marketing her a little more...can't really find much with her image on it (t-shirts, etc.).....Tony (my 10YO) started yelling earlier tonight...the video of her singing interlaced w/shots of her riding the rides at WDW came on, and I thought he was going to explode!

I wonder how long her star will last and/or how fast the kids will be crazy for her! As long as she stays "sweet and innocent," I'm all for her! :goodvibes

I finally decided to join in on the posts. I don't have WDW pics, but I do have some from DL. I hope it's ok.... Here's my first one....
