Sorry for the OT!!! I don't have the D50 but I do have the Cannon Rebel. There are some really nice backpack bags available for cameras out there. I'm planning on getting one prior to our trip in November. They're really nice and most of them can hold other items beside the camera without having to carry another bag. Just for goodness sakes don't put a bottle of water or pop in there with your camera!! Actually, we'll be carrying 2 backpacks the camera one and the normal one with all the other things in it.
Sure it is, but hey, "no pain, no gain". In truth, our upcoming 7/06 visit will be my first with the D50, but I've taken a film slr before, along with an 8mm video camera plus all the other junk my family requires for a day in the park. I'm affectionately (I hope) known as the family pack mule, and have the collapsed arches to prove it.
I'm planning on carrying just the D50+18-135 and the 50/1.8 in my pocket, along with video, blah, blah, blah. Still undecided whether to take the 70-300VR in lieu of or in addition to, the 18-135, on MGM and AK days. Now, THERE is a load (70-300VR)!

I'm glad that some of you are crazy enough to carry all this stuff! It allows the rest of us the ability to enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Thank you for being pack mules!

Thanks; I got lucky with the lighting (right before sunset), which illustrates yet again that lighting (quality and direction, especially) makes all the difference in the the (Disney) World.
My DD(11) asked me to post this for her. She took this when she was "driving" the monorail. She took the pic because it was the lime green monorail. I kind of like the reflection of the Grand Floridian in the window.
