Well I have been back for a couple of months now and trying to catch up and busy getting my camera fix as I dropped it on my first day at Epcot and thought I ruined it for the rest of the trip. But some how my camera thank goodness was a trooper and tried to keep up with me.

Here is my first picture I hope this turns out ok

My DH and I spent 5 days at AK lodge for out anniversary :) I took lots of new pics. :tinker: It was magical, we didn't get an official dream but the staff at Cal Grill eas amazing for our anniversary dinner.

We had lots of rain. It was strange, it would be sunny in the distance and pouring down rain where we were. We got stuck in Morroco twice.

WOW! EXCELLENT Picture of Madame Leota. Between the dark and the fog I gould barely even see her let alone get a picture of her when I went to MNSSHP. Nice job!

Thank you very much Jeff :) I just got lucky. That shot was taken back in 2006 and we stood there and talked to her and took her picture for awhile. She was great , very funny !

Thanks you very much :) Its funny everytime we come back from WDW we have thousands of pictures and yet I come to this thread and see tons of stuff I missed, so I agree this thread is great :thumbsup2

MY DH hates me to look at this thread because I keep saying I need to find this for a picture or I need to get a picture like that :lmao:
We'll see just what I'm lucky enough to come back with - we'll be there next week :woohoo:

I know what you mean, I drag my poor DH all over and make him stand around or even worse ( to him at least  ) pose for pictures. On this last trip ( not to disney) we bought him a compact digital camera and that was fun. We were both looking for shots and he didn't get bored.

And I am super jealous about your trip, it will be next year for us. Have a great time and I can't wait to see pictures :)

I just wanted to say I'm extremely impressed with this photo. It is very inspirational considering it was taken with a point & shoot. It gives me hope that one day, perhaps I'll be able to take a clear, crisp night shot of Cinderella Castle like this one. Great work! I have to ask, what was your ISO set at on this photo? I think part of my problem is that I can't shoot higher than 200ISO without showing considerable noise. I think I read somewhere that the Canon is better than the Sony in this regard.

Judging by the orientation (portrait) I'm assuming this was taken without a tripod? Did you use any means of steadying the camera - or was the photo taken freehand?

Joe,
Thank you for the compliments! From you that is high praise indeed!!:) I'm really pretty techno stupid, so I seldom delve off into the manual area. That photo was taken in the Night Snapshot mode. Since it automatically sets the iso, and everything else, I'm not sure what ISO was used. From the metadata in PSE, I can tell you it used a 1 sec exposure with an F stop of 3.2. I'm sorry I can't get the iso for you. I'll try looking through my handbook to see if it says what it is set to for that mode. As for the noise - I haven't run that one through any post processing yet. Others that I knowingly shot with a high iso, I have had to run through noiseware. I did use a gorilla pod. It was wrapped around the wrought iron railing - we were on the pathway on the way into Tomorrowland! I could not get the gorilla pod at a perfect right angle and because of that the camera would not sit flush with the railing - hense the angle to the horizon. I actually found it a bit difficult to manipulate to exactly where I wanted it, but once I had something workable, it help in place beautifully! Thanks again, and I'll see what I can find on the iso question.
Blessings,
Marge

if set on auto mode, it automatically chooses the iso it thinks is the right one... if you 'right-click' on the original picture on your computer (before you open it) 'left-click' on properties and then select the 'details' tab. You might be able to find it there...
