How much did you spend on your dvc membership

120 Direct PVB in 2015- $22,000 ish
120 Resale AKL in 2020- $14,000 ish
100 Resale SSR in 2024- $11,000 ish
160 Resale BLT in 2025- $21,000 ish

500 points, a mix of direct and resale, for a grand total of around $68,000. 24 year old me in 2015 was terrified to tell my parents I had dropped over $20k on a Disney “timeshare” contract. Now they use our points just as much as we do

You need 30 more direct points so you can get the blue card! Now that every resort will let you buy 25 that shouldn't be so bad

I already have the blue card the minimum was less when I bought in direct

Not in 2010, but a few years after. Point average below 130 at VGC, below 100 for Aulani.

Thats way lower than what I average per point- my number is around 170. And you have VGC.

You’re also in the winners spot on boardwalk this year literally the opposite end from me.

Those tiny contracts are valuable ones for sure.

My initial purchase was $1750 for 25 HHI points @$70/pt in 2009. I don’t remember what it cost to close.

Next one was $7480 for 85 VGC points at $82/pt in 2011.

This year we purchased a 50 pt BCV contract @ $135/pt for a total of $6800
And also a 90 pt Copper Creek at $125/pt for $11866

All in, around $28000 for 250 points, or $112/pt.

While true, it is also true that the ratio of my salary to what points cost in the late 2000's is not the same as the ratio of my salary today to what points cost today.

First we bought 50pts BWV resale for $8k with 19.5 years of points left (2022),

then we added on 150pts VGF direct for $25k with 41 years of points left (2023).

There’s a good chance we add-on with either Poly direct or a different resort resale.
